That's awesome!

#4 9 years ago

Awesome!!

How can I do that?

#5 9 years ago

That should be enough for a epileptic seizure

#6 9 years ago

Yeah I want mine to do that. HOW??

Quit your job and devote your life to modding your pinballs and pin room. Simple enough!

EL wire?

Wow - finally a job that I would enjoy....

#11 9 years ago

How did you do this?? I would love to have this effect on Metallica during the Sparky electrocution multiball!

<Otherwisoe cite="#1695472">EL wire?

15' LED strip. It's a 12' vaulted ceiling otherwise it wouldn't have worked.

#13 9 years ago

How do you wire it up with the machine to go off at certain times during the game?

#14 9 years ago

The mod to strike down all other puny attempts at pinball enhancements

This one would have fitted Back to the future also

#15 9 years ago

We have a winner!!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

Quoted from Minneapolispin:

I wired it in with one of the lightning bolt flashers on the playfield. There's a molex connector at the end of the LED strip on the wall behind the pin so I can move it if needed.

fantastic!

#18 9 years ago

Make me one please : )

#19 9 years ago

That's cool and extreme. I think it would suit Sparky very well!

#20 9 years ago

I love the idea but my wife would kill me if I stuck that on my ceiling.

Yep, my Tallica LE is next but it won't be lightning. I'm going to do a big electricity spark gap"like in the pic below",& a coiled LED wire that looks like it's going to Sparky.

Its held up with thumb tacks. No harm,no foul.

#23 9 years ago

And in other news: a pinsiders house burnt down today. Zero casualties other then his collection and the house pet! Lol

I always thought that a real Jacob's ladder would be an awesome mod for a MB, but probably just too dangerous.

#26 9 years ago

Looks like I am going to have to add a disclaimer to my house insurance for epileptic seizures as well as a warning sign for entering my game room!

#27 9 years ago

Benjamin Franklin would have liked what he saw.

#28 9 years ago

This would be great for The Addams Family multiball too. Showtime!

:applause:Mind blown! Fantastic, and very creative mod!! Might work nice on my bsd during the thunder clap at end of ball... Hmm...

#30 9 years ago

Yeah, the "I'm not F'ing around mod" - way to go big...impressive..

#31 9 years ago

I thought I get carried away sometimes

Impressive for sure, but with everybody asking questions and probably considering the ramafications from the spouse after building one, I get this nagging feeling. This idea has crept into my psychy and it is worming itself into the very nerve center region of my brain, and it keeps pulsing and repearting itself. If there was another lightning bolt on the right side to offset the first one and really fill the sky. Maybe a little smaller and facing towards the center, it would be oh so nice! Especially if these things are are cycling independent of one another. That would be the difference in going BIG or going home! :8

And I would love to see that for my TAF. Zdoor make one for me.

They could be made pretty easily. 2 separate flasher circuits could be used and it would be easy to install. Could do them similar to an undercab or backbox kit and make it plug and play from the power driver board.

#35 9 years ago

That's nothing. I wired my entire house lighting to AC/DC. When the lightening bolt flashers is triggered every light in my house flickers.

That is one freakin cool mod my friend. I think Thor on Avengers or Storm on Xmen would benefit from that mod. Bravo!

as a total newb can i please ask if anyone can provide a bit more detail on what this means? would you find a connector that controls the lightning bolts and put one of those splitters on it and add the led?
any particular wire/connector? any obvious mistakes someone with no idea what they are doing should try to avoid?

i guess also, any example of the right kind of LED strip to use (any specs to look for)??

thanks for any / all advice...

Bought this black B.C. Rich Warlock for $20 on Clist. It was a basket case. After new pickups, strings, knobs & pots, it's shred city again! This was the first guitar I had at age 14,so I'm pretty pumped on the restoration. Sorry,I should have posted in off topic.

#41 9 years ago

Twenty bucks?!? Awesome find & restoration.

#42 9 years ago
