What should I use to clean the underside of the clear window?
Quoted from Pinzzz:So windex and soft cloth is a no go?.
I can't see how it would hurt to try. Although I prefer ammonia free glass cleaners on pinball machines. And make sure to avoid getting the wood around it wet.
Quoted from dug:Novus 1 with a micro fiber towel or old tee shirt.
That's what I would use.
Quoted from Pinzzz:AC/DC How to clean the underside of Hell?
Five "Our Fathers", seven "Hail Mary's" and ten "Saint Michael's Prayers" should about do it.
Quoted from Pinzzz:I have some Norvus 2.Whats the diff between 1&2?.
Grit
#2 is a polishing compound
#1 is just a cleaner
Quoted from PinballCharlieNY:Ok how does one remove Hell for cleaning?
Check manual... mini playfield is hung by a few screws/brackets and can be removed as a unit.

4 or 5 screws and around 8 molex connectors. Petty easy to remove / re-install
I just did this. I didn't need to disconnect the molex connectors. If you're REALLY gentle about it, the lower PF will hang down and allow you to clean the glass, PF, and flippers. I was even able to replace the rubbers when it was hanging. I used Novus 1 followed by Novus 2 (lightly!). But I really think you can just use a vinegar-based cleaner under there.
I don't know how others here feel, but I wouldn't wax the window at all. Wax around it if you must. For AC/DC, I just used Wizard's Mist 'n' Shine, which gave it a gloriously slick surface but didn't dick up my window.
Did you spray the mist n shine on a towel or directly on the window?.I think I will take the whole thing out.I was thinking of cleaning and waxing the mini Playfield also. And hit the window while I am in Hell.
I did it on the microfiber because I didn't want to chance overspraying the electronics. On the main PF, you can spray directly.

Dropped Hell.Compressed air on window.Norvus 2.Then Turtle wax "Ice" applied on window.Norvus 2.Then Blitz wax for mini playfield.
Also colored screws and washers to Red.
Super bands on mini flips and posts.i.e mini flipper bands are a bitch to get on.So,microwave each band for 5 secs. Then,It's easy
Relocated the middle left red led down to plastic. To match right side. That always bothered me.

My hell is also getting a bit dirty from all the fire and brimstone. Well overdue for a good cleaning and tweaking. Those stand up target splints look pretty interesting. I'll have to check them out as I am having issues with the targets registering all the time.
By the way, since we're talking about the window to hell let's talk about the basement of hell. Does anybody have a line on getting a Luci hell playfield? I really like the looks of that playfield and would consider swapping mine out if I could find one.
