In the late 90's I discovered that I could swap out the .wav files on my Tiger Woods golf game with ones I recorded myself...It was hilarious changing all the commentary etc. is this like that?
All the files are in various folders...so you simply remove the Stern file that's there and replace it with what you want?
Quoted from cmproductions:Any feedback???
Really really excellent. I just sent you a pm. I'm a huge AVLE fan and this is the type of project I'd love to do myself, but I can't bring myself to do it yet. The music is especially awesome.
I just downloaded the Pinball Browser but I can't play any of the sound files. Does anyone know what the following messages mean and how to rectify this? I couldnt capture a screen shot so I copied them down best I could. Thanks in advance:
Cannot Play File! System.Runtime.Interopservices.COMException (0xC00D36E3):
Exception from HRESULT:0xC00D36E3
at NAudio Media Foundation.MediaFoundationInterop.MFStartup (int.32version,Int32dwsflags
Then there are a bunch of other lines about NAudio wave, reader, api startups, string files, dwf flags, settings
Quoted from cscmtp:That worked!! Thank you so much. For anyone who might have had this same issue, I was running Vista and changed the sound engine to "windows multi media" and now its working like a champ again!
I think this may solve my problem. Thanks!!! Also, what's the license add? Is a license required to use the software?
Quoted from cscmtp:If you donate (good thing to do as this program is FANTASTIC) you get a serial number to enter for the license which opens up certain features.
If I can figure out how to use it, I'll definitely donate. I still haven't seen any literal "how to" instruction posted anywhere. Alot of high level stuff and it seems alot of intuitive, techy people seem to get it just fine, but I'm mnot sure I even know where to begin creating and editing a sound file and then replacing them with the sounds I want changed in my game.
Quoted from Jdawg4422:has to be the same exact amount of time as the original sound otherwise it will cut it off at the point where the original sound ended i believe.
I'm just playing the actual IM ROM in the browser...and the files are clipped. These aren't things that I edited and replaced.
Quoted from oga83:Fixed in v4.40
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:Is there a "how to" primer for this thing?
Quoted from Eskaybee:Is there video of someone's TWD with altered call outs? (Yes I'm too lazy to search atm)
Is there a video out that explains how to change the songs?
