I have an original ACDC Pro purchased shortly after launch. Does anyone know if I need the $23 speaker stand-off kit?

Original run ac/dc do not need the stand off. They have wood backboxes. The vaults w/ metal backboxes have the slanted speaker panel, iirc.
My original luci ac/dc is all wood
