Hey guys.
My roller ball switch inside my cannon stopped responding yesterday.
This is the roller switch that the ball activates when it rolls into the cannon.
When I put it into switch test mode I get nothing when I press the switch.
All the wires and diode are still intact.
The connection under the playfield is good and tight.
The switch seems to click good when pressed and I can find no difference in this switch and all the others with diodes with my meter.
Is there a good way to test the switch or diode to see if they are good?
If they are good, I'm afraid it might be something in the backbox.

Thanks Lloyd.
I put my meter on all three legs of the switch with it set to continuity.
It reacts the same as every other switch in the game.
The outside legs have a continuous beep. The others are silent even when pressing the lever in and out.
I have tried legs one and two, two and three and one and three.
What is the proper way to test this switch?
Since they are cheap, I placed an order with Pinball Life yesterday for a new roller switch and diode, just in case.

Thought that is what I did.
Should I use another setting besides continuity?
Guess I am not sure what "registering closed" looks like. lol.
I thought I was just listening for a beep when the switch was pressed.
But every switch on the game reacts the same as this one does.
Only a solid beep on the two outside legs and silence on everything else.
But I will certainly check the NO and NC and common markings when I get home from work tomorrow.

Tested some switches that were not in the game and they test perfectly.
However all the switches with diodes that I have tested in the game will not test correctly.
They just have a constant beep across the outside legs even when the switches are pressed.

Oh well. New switch and diodes came in today.
Worked like a charm.
