This doesn’t really answer your question, but I once went to look at a surf champ pinball machine that had been sitting outside on a screened in porch for 10+ years. Every bit of wood on the cabinet was delaminating and swollen. The game was a wreck, but it still started and properly reset when the start button was pressed. I was blown away.
Obviously, don’t do what they did with their game, and my situation is pure anecdotal experience, but EMs at least, are capable of withstanding pretty significant temp and humidity changes.
Side note regarding humidity: if you plan on moving a game in from your cool air conditioned house out to a garage or something, make sure you wait until the temperature equalizes before turning a game on. Last thing you want to do is fry a bunch of expensive boards because of condensation that accumulated in during a rapid temperature change.
