If you really want to step up the sound system, take a look at what @pinwoofer offers. I put the upgraded speakers and amps in the backbox and cabinet. An external sub doesn't even come close.

The speakers that Stern uses are garbage. Anything you replace them with will be an improvement.
The cabinet speaker is for the bass, a full range speaker fed only bass doesn't get you anything over a midrange speaker fed only bass.
