I just got a Pro VE and noticed the end of a spring sticking out above the “T” and in front of the bell. Any idea on where it’s supposed to go? I can’t tell where it should be. Thanks

Normal...it is there to direct the ball when it rolls down from the pop bumpers

Possibly normal on the Pro model. My ACDC Vault premium doesn't have this

Thanks! I’ve played 25 games on it and never noticed it until tonight.

Yup, totally normal. It’s on mine, and it just cuts down the SDTM drains. You still get them occasionally, but not like you would without the spring.

Great, thanks all!

Now I'm wondering if its supposed to be on the premium?

I’ve never seen it on them, but it’s possible. However the bell mech is very different on the Pro Vault. I’d be curious what someone with a Premium Vault said. Did they add it?

Not sure if they added that or not, but it sure would help with drains

My Valut Premium does not have it. I literally never have any drains to the middle from there. And 3 out of 5 bell shots land in the scoop behind the bell anyway. So it exits out into the left orbit and prevents even more drains to the middle.

I have an older AC/DC premium that doesn't have a spring like this, but I do vaguely remember seeing pictures of other pros that had this installed at the factory. My avatar pro came with a similar spring in the same general spot (exit from pop bumpers) for the same reason, to deflect the ball and reduce SDTM drains.

I kind of wish my AC/DC came with this, my pop bumpers are deadly! Probably 15-20% of the time, the ball rolls right down the middle and drains if you don't burn a tilt warning.
