My ac/dc pro is loading extra balls during multiplayer mode. Machine shuts down realizes it's not supposed to be out. Anyone have any ideas on this problem??

Have you checked the trough connectors (optos)? They like to come loose. I have to tighten mine every other month it seems.
Probably those legendarily shitty trough connectors. Reseat them.
ANybody know of a fail safe solution to this issue?
Redo the connectors? Hardwire them?
I have a Rolling Stones game where this is becoming a pain in the ass.

Some tape would probably work...or a dob of putty on the joint...
A real solution would be to redo them with locking connectors.
I've kind of got into the habit of lifting the hood and tightening all of those connectors under the pf every so often, they are almost all loose. I think it's the shaker that causes it.
Will be checking into those this evening. I've only owned game 9 months all new to me but I do believe the shaker motor does cause a lot things come loose

Not really. All machines have things that get loose from time to time, it's a mechanical device. It's the repetitive ball banging and coil action more than the shaker. I've never noticed a difference between machines with shakers and those without. Most things shake out early (pun intended) in a machine's life as not everything is torqued properly during assembly. But eventually, it all comes loose.
The trough connectors are a known issue and have nothing to do with the shaker.

I will say I've never had that issue on any other machine ever, but AC/DC is the only Stern I have ever owned. The issue goes beyond the trough connectors as all of those style connectors have the issue, even though they seem to come loose as to be disruptive way more often. Sounds like a design flaw from cheaper connectors.
