    Quoted from system11:

I'm saying that their music isn't nearly as well identified by the wider crowd as Elvis and the Stones

The thing about that though...Elvis and the Stones tend to be backround music. You know it, but it generally doesn't do anything to you when it comes on. I own Stones stuff and I like it better than AC/DC, of which I own none. But I have to admit that when AC/DC does come on there is an emotional response, I guess I would almost call it anthem music. And I would guess that I am in the majority on that.

Go ahead try it, make a AC/DC radio station, please report back with what you might find .

    Slow day at work:

    ac\dc - shoot to thrill
    aerosmith - sweet emotion
guns 'n' roses - paradise city
Scorpions - rock you like a hurricane
ac\dc - let me put my love into you
    aerosmith - walk this way
    foghat - slow ride
zz top - gimme all your lovin
    van halen - panama
    ram jam - black betty
twisted sister - i wanna rock
ac/dc - love at first feel
    metallica - enter sandman
    queen - fat bottomed girls
joan jett - i love rock and roll
twisted sister - we're not gonna take it
aerosmith - dude looks like a lady
van halen - you really got me

Then I got tired of it, sounds just like the local classic rock station

Too bad The Beatles would never happen...

I wonder if TRS has done well in sales for Stern and ops. It's not a widely popular pin among pinheads, but perhaps it's doing well on location given the theme? If so, it certainly makes sense to do more band pins I suppose; but if that's the case why not just "reskin" (aka FG/Shrek) TRS to leverage their R&D/inventory/etc from TRS if it's mostly a theme based play?

    #55 8 years ago

I do think TRS does well on location because while I was playing Tron the TRS next to me was constantly busy.
A reskin of TRS wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion because I cannot stand the gameplay. Mick is so damn annoying. Not only does he block shots but he blocks lane returns too which end up in the slings or lanes and more often than not, a drain. Arggghhh!

Well said. I'm not an AC DC fan in that I wouldn't ever buy their music, but it's easily recognizable and generates a positive emotional response...

That is what my Pandora radio station does to me so I have to seed it or listen to Accept radio so it does not sound like a stupid classic rock station .

How in the hell do you get Joan jett in AC/DC ? Because everyone likes AC/DC at some point in thier life .

I just hope there are bag pipes somewhere on the machine.

That would be a great machine, maybe make a regular Beatles pin and a Yellow Submarine pin as well.

I'm happy for you guys that are looking forward to it. I was just expressing my own disappointment.

This game will probably come out in Jan or Feb. Not December

I wouldn't look to get a NIB for myself, but I'll bet it will be very successful on route. I'd certainly throw a few $$$ down to give it a shot and I think it will be the pin with the widest appeal of the last 10 years. I'll bet it will be a serious money maker for both Stern and operators. I don't love the theme but any pin that can keep the industry going is good to me.

    Quoted from VegasAlleycat:

I really hope AC/DC is Steve Ritchie's next pin. However, Ritchie supposedly has stated he is not doing AC/DC (which I hope is not true!). An AC/DC pin has a lot of potential based on theme/songs alone...I will certainly buy one!

    2nd'd, minus buying it

AC/DC pinball was released today! Unfortunately, it is just an iPhone/iPad app! But, it certainly means they are willing to approve a license for pinball!! Brian Johnson provides the voice callouts and the soundtrack rocks...! Playfield is pretty cool too...!

More AC/DC evidence pops up in the Stern offices: http://pinballhead.com/more-acdc-pops-up-in-the-stern-offices/

I so hope it's not AC/DC. Please make Avengers. Super hero pins are so much better than the band pins (and I'm a drummer myself).

    #75 8 years ago

I think it will probably be Ritchie with AC/DC and Borg with Avengers. Then it will be Gomez back on deck again.

    #76 8 years ago

I heard the white wood is already playing really well. Wish I liked the music but this could be a big big seller for Stern. I am tempted, especially if it looks kick ass!
