I say this as a HUGE fan of mustang but NO, the pro code is only GOOD and could be improved. There is at least one bug that traps balls behind the left ramp, if it is down and the upper switch is triggered it should lift the ramp and there are situations where it doesn't (I can't find any fault in the switch and I hear the same complaint from others). I have some other glitches that I have noticed as well. IMO there could be improvements in the code from a play-ability standpoint but honestly I'm not expecting any updates and will still love playing it.

Quoted from markmon:

Sure there can always be improvements. But that doesn't mean the game is incomplete and *needs* an update. I've never played any game that couldn't be improved.

Having a ball stuck behind the ramp waiting for the ball search to trigger because the switch signal logic is missing isn't a sign of completed, or even well done, code. I believe it is a bug and yes it "needs" an update for that. Enhancements/improvements are wishful thinking not a requirement.
The biggest problem with these discussions is understanding the difference between a bug and an enhancement.
- I don't think a game should ship with missing features, plain and simple. I certainly hope there is not an intentional plan to do that. That being said most every manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to products and maybe a feature gets dropped now and then because it can't be implemented as intended and if that is the case Stern needs to say so (and people should deal with it).
- Bugs may not be found in the lab and may need the pin to be in the public environment to be discovered, so updates to cure bugs should be considered the norm.
- Having a programmer add features or implement his own ideas as the game has a chance to season under playing conditions should be considered icing on the cake not an expectation.

Quoted from Barron:

I'm with ya. I don't even know why Jared came here to post this PR fluff piece to get people harping about Stern code again. ...

Quoted from Barron:

This post was clearly just fluff, guys. It really said nothing.
...and then 600 posts followed.

Nice contributions ... why bump this thread if it is just "fluff"
