kin pin BG has to much red everything kind of blends together, pin up is nicer
Maresa looks washed out and faded
king pin is a better player IMO
shay is going to do king pin BG soon and webb is doing pin up
i don't think i have ever seen either one with a perfect bg
so i am sure many would like a repro. i know i am getting a king pin

I put my Neptune on novelty mode, and it is pretty nice. I love that the knocker goes off a lot
I think it will stay like that for a while, 5 balls only and score goes up to 1,000.0000

    Quoted from NicoVolta:

Would like to confirm Diamond Jack vs. King of Diamonds and Ship Ahoy vs. Buccaneer.

for me Diamond Jack wins against King of Diamonds
and Ship Ahoy looses to Buccaneer.

there are few i like equally
hit the deck and neptune are both great games
lucky hand and jacks open are both great also

    Quoted from AlexF:

I'm really digging my Majorettes. It's a tough one that keeps me coming back. Having all the pops lit and not being able to cash in is maddening. Some of these AAB games are genius. Good luck trying to find the replay version.

i am itching to get mine restored, it is a great game with a unique playfield layout. it was a AAB only title so they tend to be good because they were designed as a aab from the start.

to add another pair that i like is sing along and melody.
these both are very good games. melody is not an easy one to get a extra ball.

    #143 2 years ago
    Quoted from jrpinball:

Really? I usually get a gaggle of extra balls every time I play "Melody". Consistently more so than just about any other add-a-ball game that I play.

I have a hard time getting 3 or 4 extra balls....? and I had sing along set up right next to the melody for a while

for me score was always the goal. with aab games the score was always higher due to earning more balls, but with replays the score was lower but free games were the byproduct of a great score.
my problem with some (not all)AAB games is that the game can go on for to long and there is less challenge. replay tend to be more challenging. (not always)

Nobody will ever win the replay vs. aab argument.............
    !

what you grew up playing ALWAYS will play a part in what side you fall on in this.
myself I enjoy both for many reasons, BUT do I like the title enough to buy it/add it to my lineup ?

    Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

Imagine a team one with Abra's artwork !

they could of called it "alakazam"

    #181 2 years ago
    Quoted from presqueisle:

I like the art on Team One! Whimsical art goes well with pinball.
    (I do have colorblindness though)

well you did get a rally nice one so you can really enjoy it. IMO it is A GREAT game. if i had the space it would still be here....

    Quoted from o-din:

I prefer the AAB version of this one myself.

my second favorite in the flipper series

    #189 2 years ago
    Quoted from AlexF:

    What's the first?

    flipper fair

    Quoted from presqueisle:

And it still looks like brand-new, thanks Dave! I'll have to post some good pics of it soon.

it was hard to let that go, but as we all know space forces you to always move something out when something needs to come in

    #191 2 years ago
    Quoted from o-din:

I think it looks cool, but wouldn't replace my Flipper.
I know, it's supposed to go next to it....

i do know you love your CLOWNS!

    Quoted from o-din:

I see enough clowns in real life. Sometimes even in my own mirror. Our buddy in the hills is like PTBarnum himself..
