So....went to put an external power supply in my CFTBL (I put them in all my games to account for LED mods).......didn't verify the output before installing ( Lloyd will chew me out as I deserve it).

Power supply was pulsing 12v on the 5v side...uggh....killed input of my colordmd ( Randy repaired @ N/C...those guys rock!!)...

Now, verified supply in, and a weird bug....everything behaving except hologram doesn't trigger during movie mode (it works fine in test mode, and does the little flash hint when you get a letter)...neither bulb nor motor fire, but diverter ramp fine.......possibly the ROM took a hit?

Any ideas?.....thanks...mark

Agreed......shoulda put a damn meter on the thing first, but actually bought this one new, so just "assumed" the voltage would be fine....spotted the pulsing led indicator too late.....no magic smoke, and now that my display is fine, I'm breathing easier.

I just ordered another ROM and will cross my fingers for now......

Bumping....game plays perfectly, hologram lights w motor at each creech hint when letter of "FILM" lit. Hologram works fine in test mode. Doesn't come on during "FILM" mode, however ( actually came on once but that was it). Any chance it might be the 40 pin IC MPU chip? Already changed the game ROM to no avail.

Convinced it's in my CPU board, but don't have a spare ( nervous of pulling the one from my TZ, as I don't want 2 games screwing up)

Ideas?
