I'm just wrapping up my Spanish Eyes project. changing lamps, touching up paint etc.
I was playing a game today (one of several) when the right flipper suddenly got weak and started to chatter.
I checked and readjusted the EOS. the flipper appeared strong, so I lowered the pf. It happened again. This time I noticed that the bat was loose, so I placed it where it should be and tightened to down. Now the flipper was playing strong, but the flipper travel was now about 1/2" short. I can't figure out why. I've since checked the plunger, coil stop, changed the coil sleeve and reassembled the flipper. the throw is still too short. In order to compensate, I had to move the stop bracket about 1/2" from where it was. While that's fixed the issue, it doesn't explain what happened.
Has anyone else seen anything along these lines?
