Hello Guy,
I pray God that someone could help me.
I had a broken piece on my MB pinball, it's a little steel part for the Monster Bash Frank mech assembly.
Problem is, inside the manual :

On the manual, the part is called : 02-5443
But on marcospecialties, or others, I ordered this part ( I was thinking maybe it was a generic image and I woudl receive the good one).

It's a rectangular thing, not a cylindric piece.
Even a danish guy asked about this, or I think he had, if someone could read danish.. ?

Any help for having the good part of MB ? ?
Thanks a lot in advance for everything..the MB without the Frank is.. useless!

Just in case.. the part below in the picture is the good one, but it's shorter because it's broken. I am looking for this part below..

I can't help - slight bump yes - a website that always finds me the really odd stuff why I can do that as well http://www.pbresource.com

how the hell did that snap off? If you know someone who can weld, you should be able to fix or fabricate that piece to be like new again.

Can't help directly, but I would contact pinballlife, marco and bay area and see if one of them can help.

Got my part from Marco today - same problem.

Did you successfully resolve the issue?

It looks like you may be able turn the square cross sectioned part to make it round (apart from where it's meant to be square for the rotating cluster).

What do you think?

Cheers!

A machinist can easily alter the square part to cut it to length and make it round.

Wrong part. This is the other shaft without the square cross sectioned part.

But I bought a 02-5443 from PSP in Australia - waiting for it to arrive....

Hello,

i'm searching for the same part for my CC (for the mine, it's the same hardware) and same pb than Gozzle, after PM him I just would like to advise you that for the CC it's also the round part...

Now I've got a rectangular one to sell

I just have to order the round one in Australia now...

#12 8 years ago

Just to let you know, I received the correct part from PSP in Australia and fitted it in. Perfect.

The square shaft can't be turned to make the rounded shaft, as the necessary square cross-sectioned area (for the non-slip cog) is too small.

Finally in fairness to Marco, they refunded me the part - no further questions asked.

Cheers!

so what part number is it

#14 8 years ago

02-5443 = the drive shaft

#15 8 years ago

well the williams print for 02-5443 is not that part

so we still have no idea what it is.

PSP might sell it as 02-5443 but thats not what it is

#16 8 years ago

I don't understand your input. What's the "Williams print"?

The drawing included in this thread shows the part number of the drive shaft as 02-5443, and is the same part which PSP supplies.

#17 8 years ago

a Williams print is the original drawing of the part designed by Williams Engineers

The original drawing with that part number looks like this

Mmmm...Danish....

Gozzle, Nobrain, and Guerrefroide are correct. The shaft 02-5443, as shown here:

http://www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=PP&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPS-02-5443

or

http://mrpinballa.cart.net.au/details/713433.html

will not fit into the gear assembly on CC and MB.

The correct part is shown here at PSPA.

Quoted from Ballypinball:

The original drawing with that part number looks like this

Then the "Williams print" is wrong. There's no way that shaft could work in a gearing environment.

In fact, if you look at the drawings above, the part is correctly marked and correctly drawn and isn't square on its entire length as with the shaft in your posted link.

Cheers!

Goz

PS as this gearing is duplicated in the Monstaer bash, a quick look at the working gearing also confirms the obvious.

It is called a "shaft drive" or "drive shaft" not sure why part number is not enough?

http://www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=PP&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPS-02-5443

in stock at planetary

best of luck

slow today Unsure what the real part number is but link above is available. marco has the wrong part in stock.

#22 8 years ago

people are saying that part is wrong

#23 8 years ago

Hello,

I just get 2 off this parts :
http://www.pinball.co/Products/3272-02-5443.aspx == the good one for CC

http://www.bestofpinball.de/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/4465 == not the good one (they admit it and make me a refund)

Now my CC can work correctly... finally when I get back my plate

No, no, no. This is a picture of the wrong part. It is completely square in cross section and therefore CAN NOT work.

Honestly!

Shaft from MM is the correct one for MB that is incorrectly listed in the manual. This is it:
