"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."
C Dickens, Tale of two cities.
What takes year to build can be gone in an instant, and if/when/ever rebuilt, there never the same.
Quoted from HEAD_boss_HOG:hope out here in CA that INDISC (the Open) doesn't shut down the same way. It's growing larger every year. They have a different model than PAPA did for their organization, so my guess is that INDISC will now be the largest tourney in the US, and hopefully remain in operation.
INDISC will be skipping 2021, and Arcade Expo in March is all but also dead for 2021 at this point. Our California hopes are riding on Golden State Pinball in May, and Cal extreme in July. The later seems doable, GSPF in May is 50/50.
TPF draws a line in the sand Jan 5. Also 50/50 at this point.
Pinball will survive, Tournaments will survive. Just will take time to come back to life like it was in 2019.
