very cool - looking forward to seeing the full video.

YOU DA MAN!
Men really.
You have made history!.
I am 99% sure I will never have this game but I am very pleased that you wrote and finished the code.
I can hear the other owners yelling and screaming with joy.

#4 2 years ago

actually a beautiful game ...
very cool that someone got it to work. looking forward to more video

I will be interested to see if this is true and if the machine will now be operational.
I wonder how many people will want to install this new code on their machine that have waited several years.
If it does work, could more of these machines be assembled and sold now?

#6 2 years ago

Is the new code going to install the missing mechs and switches and burrow a shooter groove into the plunger lane?

A neat curio but I’m kind of against anything that encourages some idiot to start dreaming about producing Magic Girl again.

#7 2 years ago

Here's the video embedded from youtube for those that are (wisely) trying to avoid Facebook exposure:

From the looks of that short video there Is a lot more than just software changes.

It's not just new code, they made hardware changes.

Hence my fear.

Only a matter of time before someone starts trying to sell “kits” for this thing

And a year later, some new company is on the scene to produce “Magic Girl Comtinues,” Bringing jPop in and soliciting pre order money.

Must be the Pinball Truamatic Stress Disorder kicking in…

We made over 60 hardware changes and many hours of programming. We added some mechanics and 12 switches also Several rgb lamps who were missing and flashers .

So its not just an update and its also not a remake . The Kits ? I don’t know . We did this for ourselves but anything is posible in the future.

One of the most important things , we did it because we liked the looks and the game , yes we know its past but that is not to blame on the machine

Fantastic job, only the Dutch can take a project of this magnitude on.
The machine is gorgeous and it cannot help its past.

Zombie Yeti is the master. If the game looked like anything else, no one would be putting this effort in.

#14 2 years ago

Amazing work. Glad to see something good come out of this game. Its a stunning game and a tragedy that it was only a box of lights.

The collection of machines behind you guys isn't too shabby either.

I can not more agree

#16 2 years ago

amazing project. there was so much missing, this is a huge undertaking. Nice to see one actually playable.

#17 2 years ago

Very nice, the amount of work must have been staggering.

You did an INCREDIBLE job. I can’t wait to see the game play video.

#22 2 years ago

Don’t let anybody downplay or rain on your accomplishments. Seems like that was a huge endeavor, great job!

#23 2 years ago

Amazing skill and dedication at work here. Well done and no easy challenge.

#24 2 years ago

Crazy challenge. I really want to see what was supposed to be the gameplay on this thing and changing this box of lights into a real pin. Congrats !

#26 2 years ago

I can't believe that all this design and work was done just to complete one machine.
Someone must have a plan to make more and it looks incredible.

#27 2 years ago

It’s a shame Jpop sold this in an unfinished state. That’s great you put the time and resources in to make this the game it was meant to be. Can’t wait to see the video of the finished game.

Yes not just 1 …… 3 machines and al handcrafted work i made more . If you order blanc pcb in china , then 1 is expensive and every extra is cheap ..
So think what you want to think but that’s it

I put the pdf to it , its the 2nd article in the magazine Spinner . With google translate you can read more of what we done

For Sale in Netherlands Full Playing Magic Girl, Zidware 2017

It took the DutchMG team 3 years to transform a beautiful, but unplayable machine into a full-fledged pinball machine.

This pinball machine, designed by top designer John Popadiuk, known for major titles such as Theater of Magic, Tales of the Arabian Nights and Cirqus Voltaire, had everything to become the most impressive pinball machine, but all (in principle 16) buyers upon receipt must conclude that the most exclusive pinball machine ever was completely unplayable.

This prompted the DutchMG team to explore the possibilities of reviving the Magic Girl's development process. No expense has been spared to achieve this daring piece.

With initiators and a true pinball specialist in the ranks, the DutchMG team has succeeded in making what was thought impossible possible: to develop a pinball machine that had so much wrong with it into a full-fledged pinball machine, while retaining almost all of the original concept. .

This extremely rare game has an interesting and extensive history, is unique in its kind and an enrichment for any pinball collector. You have the opportunity to play and even own this cabinet as one of the few worldwide.

Contact the DutchMG team and make an appointment to admire this beautiful pinball machine in Wormer while enjoying a drink and to hear from the developers themselves all the stories that are in place with this sensational machine and also the long road it has taken. team has walked to get where the adventure took them: a fully playable Magic Girl.

I do not own it or have any interest in it
Just saw the for sale ad so thought I post it

After 3 long years of hard work it’s for sale? Seems to be a quick sale after it’s finally working. Is it still that bad?
It seems like some people want to move on with this pin. I’m curious with the price. Is there any price ? If not... not a good sign.

They have more than one so can imagine they are selling 1 or more to recover some of the costs.

#46 2 years ago

They priced it @ 54500 euro - 61200 US dollar

#47 2 years ago
Quoted from AMSNL:

Still cheaper than the TZ prototype, Kingpin or Supreme. What a bargain !
At this price people will fight to have it knowing there is no spare part whatsoever and if anything goes wrong, that’s still a magnificent box of light to show off during friend visit.

For the same price I think you could get 50 old mechanical pins so at least this save a lot of space.

#48 2 years ago

This game remains a complete and total joke and embarrassment regardless of price or whether or not it “works.”

The ultimate pinball idiot tax.

#49 2 years ago

I made an offer, but far of what they want
