I don't have the intention of doing it, I just had the idea and wondered what would stop me from doing it other than legal issues.
I have a Judge Dredd pinball and love it. But I saw Gwar live last week and thought if any pinball would be worthy of being customized into a Gwar pinball it would be a Dredd.
Dredd World could easily be changed into Scumdoggia. Since I do 3d modeling, graphic design and such I can do all the cosmetic stuff. But the mechanical and programming I couldn't be more useless.
If you are familiar with Dredd, let's just take the feature of "Sniper Tower"
the part where the woman says "Shoot Sniper Tower"
Is there a way to hack the code and just replace each individual audio clip?
That way all I'd have to do is redesign the playfield and toys but keep the game features and such?
Basically I'm curious if you can just replace every audio clip in the game while not interferring with gameplay.
Also, I do animation and was curious if it's possible to animate the DMD display. Sort of finding each animation relative to the feature activated and replace those bits as well.
Just curious.
