If originally not announced to be a set number produced then I see no problem with it.
If announced as a limited addition and then change the number mid game is just bad business. IMO
As for the game the two center targets were a turnoff to me as well but did not stop me from signing up. Adult themed pins can be really fun. Hunt mode was the clincher for me. UV paint and regular on PF just seems cool all by itself.
