I am very cash short but...

I am eyeballing either an MMR mm if the price was right for a second machine. My first is a theatre.

My question is how much do you really play it, play it still.

Part of me wants to get 3 other games but part of me would like to do both.

I do like less pinball. I think 3 is an awesome number and I already have one static. A nice mm or mmr might be good to keep for a year then trade or sell for another good title.

What do you guys think?

By the way I added AFM because I don't have it and love it. I know I will own it someday, sooner or later...

Mike,

I play my MMR a ton. It hasn't lost it's appeal and allure and I've had it since August 2015. It's a great game, and while some might argue with it being top of the pools, etc, there's a reason it's so popular. It's fun, it's funny, and it's hard, which makes me always want to come back. I also have had nearly no issues with it; a bolt came loose and was quickly tightened. That's it; no more work than my new Sterns.

MM has been with me longer than any other pin. Still a top favorite.

That said, with the remake, you can find a MM now. Since you only have 1 game atm, 3 lesser machines may help keep the variety going. You can always swap a game or get a MM later.

You have to decide if variety is important or if you can dump money on a one machine purchace. MMR is an owner and keeper IMO. Mine has 3d translite, color dmd chip and factory shaker, wow it plays like a dream.

I've had my MM about 8 years now. I used to play it daily, then weekly.. now, I play it about once or twice a month. I think that's the nature of owning the same machine for 8 years though. I've thought of selling or trading it, but friends and family who come over to visit love to play it, and it's fun to watch them and see them get excited about pinball. It's a crowd pleaser in my gameroom and pretty much a permanent fixture at this point.

I'd advise going with an MMR or nice MM. Winning The Battle For The Kingdom wizard mode for the first time is one of the best feelings in pinball IMO, and you need to experience that at least once. Plus, I bet guests will love it, and that's fun too.

Get an MM(R) if you find one available for a not too crazy price.
It's an excellent game and will keep you interested.

I have mine for about 15 years or so now, and it is still fun to play.
Many other games came and went but MM stays and will keep me interested.
So if you really want a keeper game in a small collection it's this one.
