    My view from the bombardiers seat of the Sentimental Journey B-17 20 years ago today.

    There’s nothing like the squeaking brakes, the wisps of fog on the prop tips and the bounce of the plane as it makes the turn onto the runway. It pauses as the vintage radial engines wind up to an unforgettable roar, and you’re off!

    Little did we know how things would change 2 days later.

    Walking past the garage last week, I heard an unusual sound. Found this hummingbird all pissed off at the fluorescent fixture for some reason. I watched for a minute while it chirped and pecked at it before flying off.
