Quoted from RVH:Do you cut all that grass? Jesus!
Looks nice!
Quoted from mcluvin:Sheep? I hear they have a lot of them.
Mr John Deere mows the 4 acres you can see ...
Mr Sheep and the Cow family mow the other 3 acres.

Quoted from BobLangelius:You think that's crazy, you should see the guys in China, with a rope tied around their waist.
Oh yeah, I’ve seen it.
Over in Pudong (in Shanghai) I was watching a heap of dudes washing the windows of the huge Jin Mao tower, one of China’s biggest buildings.
They were basically sitting on wooden children’s swing seats, hanging from ropes 100s of metres long. The had a bucket on their side and it was all done by hand.
Like these guys ....

Seemed to miss most of that house ... lucky!

Not sure what they use the bucket for. If I were on the side of that building, the bucket would serve two purposes.....one when I threw up, the other when I crapped my drawers.
The bucket has the water in it to clean the windows.

Ha. Damn. No zero turn or a real tractor with a mowing deck on the back? All I remember when I pulled up a few years back is that the grass is just so green. I've never seen grass that color of green before.
Little John Deere does the job ok. And anyone can drive it easily - hydrostatic gearbox and small size make it pretty idiot proof. We all battle it out about who’s going to do the lawns, we all enjoy doing it.
Yep, the grass is always greener ... Probably because it rains so much. The cows love it ... no sheds or grains needed for our cows, grass all the way!

Some of my best lightning pictures.

Up on the roof of my business park, cleaning off all the pine needles from the neighbors tree.
Live from the roof!
6m up - 18ft. 10 years old, a bit of moss buildup!
If you look up the far end, you can see the scissor lift. Jump off the side of that, grab the ladder, and get up on the top. The asphalt is too angled for the lift to go 6m high.

Quoted from yzfguy:Cantcha cut back that damned tree?
On the neighbors property - so no.
Meaning to go have a chat with them at some stage.
rd
Quoted from yzfguy:Aaah. Here we are allowed to cut any portion that is over the property line.
Oh, I’ve done that ... but the tree is so big, the pine needles just come off it anyway.
I was up on the roof before Xmas with my big chainsaw in one hand, swinging it around over the edge, trimming back as much as I could lol

Been a bit chilly here - about 12 degrees C at 4pm.

Fast forward 8 months and the construction is almost finished on the apartment building.
15 stories high. They swapped out the crane about half way through.
Hot summers day here in Auckland - 28c.

View is sorta 100-120 degrees out that side of the building, so it’s only a part of it.
You do have to expect that, living in an apartment though. People will always be building new stuff and changing the landscape. Eventually there will be 3 blocks of a similar size over the road, it is what it is.
