We decided to start a bunch of pepper plants from seed this year. We really wanted to grow some Incan tear drop peppers and could only do this by starting from seed (entire left tray), so we also decided to also plant some seeds I harvested from ripe peppers we grew in previous years (which means we could get some interesting pepper hybrids!).
Quite surprised that almost all the seeds germinated, so now we will have several beds full of peppers this year. Which is nice since the plant nursery we usually use is closed and the farmers market likely won’t happen either, at least for a while. I also just started some cucamelon seeds, which was mainly because the fruits look cool, we’ll see how they do. Watching things grow is a nice way to spend the forced time at home.
