THIS IS 100% TRUE: next time you see a group of cows out in a fenced area like this on the side of the road, put on Simon & Garfunkel as loud as you can. Hold a “cow-ncert!”

The cows damn near run over to hear music, just put your windows down, and watch a group of cattle enjoy some sweet tunes.

Photo is a couple days old.

Took this picture from the Jeep window while driving today (I stopped to take the picture ) . . . I believe these are Sandhill Cranes but I have never seen them in Ohio before.

    Yep. Sandhill Cranes.
Common in NW Indiana for at least part of the year. Some show up in SW Louisiana in the late Fall and Winter.

They pass through here around november. They fly super high and unlike geese they make a strange clicking bird like noise.

    Almost blocked your view.

    Quoted from Darcy:

    Almost blocked your view.

View is sorta 100-120 degrees out that side of the building, so it’s only a part of it.

You do have to expect that, living in an apartment though. People will always be building new stuff and changing the landscape. Eventually there will be 3 blocks of a similar size over the road, it is what it is.

Mowing the lawn earlier today and heard an explosion.
Went up on top and saw smoke coming from my neighbor's.
Fireman came and put it out. Minimum damage to the house.
    Melted vinyl.
Oh yes. Not at start up. She already had driven her other car to work..

Yes. Strange enough, that's what happened.
The Town Highway Department crew was milling the road right in that area
in view of anything suspicious. I hadn't noticed anything out of the
    ordinary either..
Since I'm back, a couple weeks ago, a Friend put on a little gathering down at the pond..
Couldn't keep the Kids out of the fountain, haha, which is fine..
The old time pump Merry-go-Round got quite a bit of use also..
Forgot I took those pics until they showed up in the laptop after loading the blazed car..

    Good thinking..
It was a 2007 Buick Rainer
They figure electrical (which is almost certain), but not sure yet exactly where it started..
Haven't heard it had a history of problems. Will have to check..

Here's a view from my window. Mt. Rainier was nice and clear today although my picture really doesn't do it justice. The summers up here in the Pacific northwest can't be beat.

That pic of Mt Rainer inspired me to post one from last summer when we hiked up Mt Hood. Was a pretty clear day and could see Mt St Helens (far left with flat top and no snow), Mt Ranier (middle), and Mt Adams (far right). Definitely not a pic from my window, but I guess qualifies as a random pic? It was a great day hike regardless!

I just returned from Mount Rainier today. . . what are the odds? Its a Pinside Miracle!

Anyway, we hiked up to Camp Muir at 10,000 feet on the mountain, here is a pic as we headed back down the snowfield. Mount Adams is in the background, Mount Hood is barely visible to the right, and the place we were staying is the buildings just above the brother in law's left shoulder. . . if you can spot them.

Bonus picture of the Mountain itself as we were hiking back down. The place we hiked up to is just below the lower rock ridge not covered in snow at the top right.
