    Quoted from pinwiztom:

    How long was the climb
Both in length and time to the top

We did it as a two day hike/climb.
Day 1 - hike ~7miles, 5k feet of elevation gain. About 4.5 hours.
Day 2 - hiking/climbing, less than 2 miles, between 3-4 hours to the top including idling midway for about an hour due to rain, sleet and lightning), 2k feet of elevation gain. Day 2 descent - return to camp and then to the trailhead (another 6 hours).

I think you're right, looks like it only has the one set of small whiskers. Will get some popcorn ready in case he comes back.

A hawk did get the one we called "White Dot". I missed it but my wife and kids got to watch. Could barely lift it out of the water. Then a great blue heron came along and tried to get in on the action. Apparently there was a bit of a squabble and the hawk won out. Wife also saw an eagle catch a smaller unnamed fish. I yet to anything good like that.

The shiny whiter pavement in the distance is where the heavy rain is you can see where everyone slows down then. It looked more distinctive in person oh well.

Our cat Marvin displayed quite a lack of situational awareness a few days ago. Not pictured is the robin that caused him to run into the yard in the first place.

As can be seen from the laid back ears and how far he hunkered into the grass, he was not happy with how close the deer got. The deer lost interest and left after a little bit, so we didn't need to intervene.

The following day I walked outside to see this.

We had a cabin on Lake Manitoba when I was a kid. Caught a lot of catfish. Never cared for the flavor. Also those whiskers creeped me out

That place I like to go on vacation to fish that is about all we have been catching.

50 fish a day average, with maybe 2 stingrays, a couple of snappers and other fish, but mostly just one catfish after another.

My girlfriend wanted me to start marking them, just to see if we were catching the same ones over and over.

Thats interesting. I've never even heard about Saskatoons before. After google/wikipedia about it I just understood that its considered a invasive species in Sweden/Norway. Apparently spread via bird droppings.

So, how does it taste? You use it for wild game jelly or is it for like pancakes/etc?

It's similar to a blueberry but a bit bitter. Saskatoon pies are super popular. Wife stews them down and adds some white sugar and lemon. Also rhubarb pairs well with them.

She likes to add a spoonful to her cereal or porridge. We also infuse the berries and sugar into vodka with them for flavored shots
