Yeah, the landlord is an apiarist. There's seven boxes down the back. Girls don't bother you if you don't fuck with them. So i don't go down there on the days when he fucks with them.

Dude, I want to come live your life! A treetop deck now?!
Quoted from punkin:Been here for a year now i reckon.
Here's a shot from the edge of it last year when it was being built.
[quoted image]
I guess it's me being sheltered, but it amazes me that there is a kangaroo sitting there watching you take that pic!

The young unemployed hippy across from us has a hive. Wants to add a second in the spring. He gifted us a gallon jar full of canola honey and it was amazing. Think he got 20 gallons off of one hive. Looking forward to more. We'll have hives whenever we move to the country.

I took the pic because of her. Big fella came across the causeway to graze in the yard next door and attracted out attention. then she started hopping across and stopped to make sure i was no threat. She waited there toill her half grown joey came out from the bushes behind her at a signal and then they both hopped past us.
Yesterday i was down there talking to the lanlord and a wallaby hopped in from or side ans swam across to the other side.
There's all sorts of lizards from goanna's to water dragons, bluetongues, skinks and even a Land Mullet walked past us on the deck one day.
There's green tree snakes, Diamond pythons, Coastal Carpet pythons (most common) and Brown and Black snakes

You should watch a couple of documentary's about bees.
It makes you realize that the insects are the only species that share civilization as a construct with us. They build cities, have jobs and are the ultimate communists.
There's bees that do nothing but live in the darkness beating their wings to power the air-conditioning till they die and are chucked out the door.
Fishing was slow, and a cold front came through and it was cold and windy.
BUT! I just sat on the couch inside the motel room drinking beer and watching TV while also watching the rods outside, and I had to walk out there a few times to reel in a fish. (Just catfish, no pics, threw them back).

I would love to visit your country sometime. The only thing I don't like is the snakes. They scare the shit out of me. Always have.

You'd have to somewhere they were extremely common (like here) and would still be very lucky to even see one, let alone be threatened by one. They have lots of predators (including people) and generally move at night. Kookaburras, Eagles and Hawks, dogs and cats etc.
The ones who do get confident are usually harmless to you like the pythons who settle into houses or sheds in the bush and keep the vermin at bay.
I only spot them in the wild here a few times a year and i'm right in their habitat.
Quoted from Nevus:Thank you the little buddy heater, my tent is cozy!
I use the big buddy in my garage and love it. When it’s spring or fall I can use 1 burner which I’m guessing is the same output as the little buddy. When I had a two car garage it was perfect in the middle of winter. Now with a 3 car and higher ceiling it takes several hours to bring up to temp.
It’s like -something outside. Great night to rebuild some pops and drops over at pinballplusMN who has a heated garage and I don’t. I was nervous about breaking plastics driving the game over in the cold. Don’t want to bring it into my house yet cause it reeks of nicotine.

First time we used Tura for a 'rental' car - turned out great. Neat concept.
Quoted from Skatewake:Here is my random pic, 3 V16 CATS for standby power.
Damn. How many pinball machines you got ?

Quoted from EJS:I like leaf blowering the snow after UPS arrives.

I haven’t tried that yet!

Leaf blowing the car after a wash in the summer is a good use too - gets all the water out of the seams and rims pronto.

I got one a year ago. ( Milwaukee cordless ) for under my pool tables. A dust mop doesn't reach the whole way. Walk down the center of the room, a little squirt here and there and dust mop the side aisles, done.
Since then I've discovered other uses. Trash out front, none of the other tenants sweep, leaves, snow, pinball toppers.
Best thing I've gotten in a long time.

I’ll try that too! Thanks!

Mine is a gas stihl. I don’t think it would be smart to run it in the house! Tempting as it may be!

Quoted from Tyamry:Moon looked beautiful tonight.
That is what the planet Mars looks like from here. The moon looks a whole lot bigger than that here.
(At least after a few beers anyway).

Unfortunately beer has the opposite discretion on some other things

If anyone disagrees, then I'm siding with you on this.
