Quoted from pinwiztom:The O'possum is back, I will call it Pogo, snooping around temporarily squatting at our outdoor back deck feral cat's home.
Why the apostrophe? Is he Irish?

According to Reddit, O'possums are Irish possum's that escaped Ireland when the Potato famine hit...

Well played! Just out of curiosity, what are your current average temps, and what will they be in August? Do you folks ever see any snow?

I am curious what temp the jacuzzi is set on?
I like to get in mine at 101 and get out a little while after it warms to 104.
In the summer the spa is on 30c (86F). In the winter i bump it up a couple.
We get snow in Australia, but not here on the coast (i'm an arrow flight from the beach). Frost up in the hills a little west, but none here. I don't own a heater or an air conditioner.

That’s wild that you don’t have/need a heat or a/c..)I have heaters in my garage, and 3 portable a/c units when it gets to 90+ here in the summer..back to working at this building again to start the 1st day of the month

This headland is about 6 blocks from my place. Town of about 3000 people.

Living the life! Envious 4 sure. Any chance the drug dealing tenant above you looking for a roommate What's the job market in Woolgooga? Climate sounds like paradise when my thermometer said -37°C this morning.
Unless you are a girl who likes girls then no chance.
Only work round here is blueberry picking for backpackers.
The locals work 'woopi time'. That means a couple hours in the morning and knock off at opening time for the pub.

If there's not a kid's cubby house with a door and windows behind that waterfall you missed a great opportunity.
Quoted from hlaj78:I think that the waterfall needs a grotto behind it.
We considered all sorts of different designs including a grotto, kids play area, sand beach, a hidden swim up bar, etc. But ultimately due to the size of the structure and my desire to have a kick ass commercial slide that is over 60 feet long with 4 different directional changes and with a 1 to 4 drop ratio, we made it solid.
It maybe be tough to tell from the angle, but the slide starts facing the other direction and goes back a ways. The height of the structure is about 16 feet high (it would not pass our Home Owners Association rules now, but I was one of the first to build in our neighborhood so I didn't vote against myself.)
And I would say mission accomplished because if you go down the slide naked, you are airborne the last 4 feet of the slide before you hit the water. Don't ask me how I know.

That was ingenious to not vote against yourself! LOL! Sweet setup!
Quoted from Nevus:Light snow in Louisiana.
We have no infrastructure to deal with ice on bridges, so everything shuts down with snow.
