Along those lines here is a picture of a house that we just did some work at the house next door. My friend thinks this house looks goofy, while I think it looks cool.

I actually agree with both of you. It does look goofy but it’s also cool looking.

We just got a dusting over the past few days - even the driveway didn't completely cover. The neighbor kids did manage to sled around a little but so far we have had a pretty mild winter (whoops, shouldn't have said that ...)

Was shocked to catch this guy with my humane mouse trap. The mice I leave in until the morning. He seemed a bit cramped though, so took a ride at 1AM.

Please tell us how that contraption works!

    #3121 2 years ago
    Quoted from yzfguy:

Please tell us how that contraption works!

Oh, it's real simple. You just put a nut under the rim of the smaller bowl. Then you balance the clear bowl so that one side of the rim touches the floor and the other is on top of the smaller bowl (just about ready to fall). The nut should now be covered by the clear bowl. When the mouse grabs the nut it causes the clear bowl to drop and he is trapped. Once caught, I tape the bowl to the wood that I have it on and take the mouse for a ride.

Where exactly was your trapped placed?

    #3123 2 years ago
    Quoted from Mopar:

Where exactly was your trapped placed?

In a unfinished closet type space that is under the eaves. I always hear it when it drops. Could tell by the glass clunking a bunch that it probably wasn't a mouse trying to escape. I've tried a number of humane traps, this one has been by far the best. Only negative is you can only catch one at a time, though I've never caught more than one at a time in my multi-mouse trap.

Been renovating the furnace room with new flooring and some free paneling.
Built a bunch of shelving today for totes. Never been so organized before. Will be nice to pull a tote out without having to move a pile of them.

This guy was just outside my container house door. Rudimentary front legs, no back wheels that i could see. He moved quick in a half lizard half snake kinda way.

    Weird little fuck.

It's a really nice day here. Cooler than it has been at 23C and even though it's 100% humidity, it's not sticky like it has been a couple times during the week.
Raining well and a strong breeze, just cool enough to convince me not to stand out the front in it with a snake.

Looks like about 10 turkey hens with two males, one with a long beard, plus for some reason a peacock.
