Quoted from Atari_Daze:white for the win?
Wife is choosing this time. I suggested something with a yellow tint but got a f no. Haha. Baseboards, doors and trim will be semi glossed white.
Quoted from Jaybird815:Hell of a lot less work if you paint first then put the flooring in.
I'm a pro when it comes to painting. Just put a drop sheet down. Plus we won't be in town for a few days to get paint so I can install the doors and paint the trim and baseboard to have ready after I paint the walls. Painted the ceiling though this morning before starting the floors

Hey! I was born there! edit: well probably not on the roof of the parking
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Spent most of the day laying a new floor in a bedroom downstairs. Now the fun job of picking a wall color

Nice work, looks great.
Dulux Grand Piano 1/4 is a very nice neutral.
More flight photos,
Hoping im not boring you guys will these.
Mackay QLD Australia coal port, pix shows a handful of bulk carriers lined up like missiles to take our black gold to various countries.
I only captured some, there is usually around 30 + ships queued up.
Wanna get some of the container ships off Newcastle mate.
I had a forum friend who was a fifo tug driver. When i first met him he was working off the top of Aus in the gas line stuff, but he ended up moving to Japan to carry on tuggin'.
Great guy too.
Quoted from EJS:Something blew in from Canada besides cold air this week….

Such a worthwhile resto. I love my Sorcerer. Is that from John Greatwitch? I read that the playfield in mine was the last one in existence, looks like it wasn't.
Moonbathing.

You should pick a colour that matches all the pinball machines you will put in there

He's got a red cape. Must be Super Sasquatch !

You guys had about 20". We only had about 14".
I woke up to no driveway. Two hours later, driveway.

It's big, at least 8' long and easily 10'-15' high. He's been there for years.

Did you try offering him some beef jerky?

Keep it coming. I'm heading y'alls way for some skiing in March. MSP to Mt. Bohemia and back.
So I normally don't post off topic but this thread has lots of interesting things. I thought I would give back in a small way.
I recently did some travel so in some respects the pictures are from my window.
14 hour flight. Most of it at night so nothing to see or capture. Final approach to the destination airport. This beach was the site of riots in late 2005.
Pulling into the gate. The aircraft I am on is a B787-9. The B789 is an amazing aircraft. I love the fact that it does not use bleed air for the cabin. It's always obvious to me when I've spent more than 10+ hours on a bleed air aircraft.
A nasty thunderstorm moved in fairly quickly the other day. I went outside (onto the balcony) to see what was going on. I definitely miss a good thunderstorm. It's not common in the area where I live.
There was a lot of lightning around with thunder claps. Not easy to capture. I have captured still images of lightning using a black filter and long exposure but I captured this the lazy way - video frame capture.

My mate keeps saying he can't wait to get a look at his head when it's as big as my hand.
Quoted from Birdnest:Around 2 feet of snow last night and supposed to rain all day on Saturday
[quoted image][quoted image]
Rain it did - complete with a thunder storm. Spent a whole day shovelling snow only to have it washed away but learned the hard way always shovel or else you end up with a sheet of ice for the rest of winter.

That's because it's the busy time of year for coal.
Santa needs a lot of it for kids on his "naughty" list.
Debris from the Amazon Warehouse Roof hit by Friday's storms in Edwardsville just outside my office window. We are about 2 miles east by northeast of the distribution facility. Campus lost power till late Saturday morning, amazingly that and debris were about the only impact here. EF3 Tornado. Terrible loss of life, it is also amazing no other buildings in the industrial park collapsed, they are just about all tilt up construction, massive warehouses over one million square feet each with the roofs holding the walls together.

Aweful. With the terrible loss of lives, I didn't think about that... is there Amazon merchandise all over the place?
Quoted from yzfguy:Aweful. With the terrible loss of lives, I didn't think about that... is there Amazon merchandise all over the place?
No, surprisingly not really, at least not here. Mostly roof insulation, some sheet metal, roof vents - light or aerodynamic parts mostly. Here is an aerial from the web. Its about a 1.5 million square foot building, and about 1/2 of it gone. The aerial from the internet below shows the extent -

LTG : )
It was a “No blow” fuse that’s what it said on the side.
(All kidding aside I hope there weren’t any animals in that barn. It was really stinky so maybe machine shed or something. I texted these to a coworker who is fire reserve and he thinks if this was planned they’d at least have a truck on stand by)
