    Quoted from bssbllr:

    For those that don’t know that’s $4.459 a gallon.

Thanks. Was trying to do the math. It's $1.35/liter or $5.12/gallon here where I am. Highest It's ever been.

    #2452 2 years ago

Bj’s regular $3.17 in pa hope it stays there!!!

Pulled up to the pump this morning, prior to going to pay I had to take a picture for a "YIKES! Gas prices are crazy" moment.[quoted image]

Finally, I can buy another pin! It’s really been a rough year and a half!

Incredible view! And that sucks. ☹️

    #2456 2 years ago

Great view and time for a fence (or cacti or something to deter trespassers ). Watch out for liability and keep fences/plants somewhat low to keep your view unless you expect a lot of crummy foot traffic. That mean then you can't leave surfboards laying around anymore, too?

I wish burglars were paying for this and not the property owners. Ain't fair to get robbed twice.

Looks like such a beautiful walk around the shore. You will be happy to share it with the rest of the people once you get used to it. Might even make some new friends with neighbours you don't know yet.

Man, I really wish I were a glass half full kinda guy like you. I would be so pissed there is no way I would see any positive. Probably been so nice and private for so long, then pooffff gone.

    #2464 2 years ago

No point sulking about it, it's done. I know it would have been nice to have the privacy, but now more people can enjoy that spectacular view.

Much more likely to get people walking their dogs and kids on pushbikes than undesirables. They are too lazy to get off the couch in their trailers.

    #2465 2 years ago

    so private for so long
most of us don't even lock our doors.
some houses, built to their boundary 60yrs ago will soon have a 10ft wide footpath less than 2ft from their back doors. they knocked down trees that were planted 50yrs ago. the contractors were given two days notice to start and no tenders were put out. really really dodgy business going on.

I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like you're right on the beach? If so, that begs the question, why the hell can't they just walk down the beach. I'd be pissed and stage a stand in or something.

Sorry to hear that which is why I am not "upvoting it" because that isn't something we want to see more of (burning lodges). Realizing it probably is very old - any fire insurance on the property to rebuild?

The chimney swifts are gathering here again. They start swirling around in a big cloud before they all dive into a chimney for the night.
In a few weeks, they will suddenly decide it's the right time for their migration to South America, and the next day, they will all be gone.
I'll try to get some better video before they're gone.
Some years, I have estimated there were over a thousand chimney swifts in the big nightly swirl. There are about a hundred here so far.

One of my parents (sadly, both gone now) favorite places to go when visiting Vegas. I can still smell the wood burning in the fireplace as we ate breakfast there so many times.

I’m taking a late lunch break just laying on the floor at a clinic. Been going at it since 6 this morning and only a snickers bar and water for lunch. Happy Friday at least!

Here’s a funny bag that I’d like to have someday.
