My doorbell cam caught this a few weeks back:
Quoted from rotordave:Construction site over the road, a new 15 level building is going up.
Crazy job. But if you think those guys are chill. Look for the guy 'walking slowly away' just right and below center in this video at about 17seconds. I'd like to know what that guy was doing just before that happened. I imagine he still has his headphones on and missed the entire thing.

I don't want to spoil it but what a great catch!

Wow! Wonder if that road work weakened the roots somehow?

Seemed to miss most of that house ... lucky!

It damaged his roof just enough that they have to replace the entire thing along with the decking...could've been much worse for sure. You can't see it but it actually took out another big tree behind it on the way to smashing the fence.
It was a tourist attraction for a couple weeks. People actually stopping their car and getting out to look the scene over lol.
That was pretty crazy. The camera really made it appear much more subtle than what actually happened. Thanks for posting it Wickerman2.
Quoted from rotordave:Oh yeah, I’ve seen it.
Over in Pudong (in Shanghai) I was watching a heap of dudes washing the windows of the huge Jin Mao tower, one of China’s biggest buildings.
They were basically sitting on wooden children’s swing seats, hanging from ropes 100s of metres long. The had a bucket on their side and it was all done by hand.
Like these guys ....But on the side of this ....
Craaaazyyy
rd
Not sure what they use the bucket for. If I were on the side of that building, the bucket would serve two purposes.....one when I threw up, the other when I crapped my drawers.

The bucket has the water in it to clean the windows.

Quoted from TractorDoc:Any Pinheads know what type of cloud formations these are?
Looks like variations of asperitas.
LTG : )
Ah, of course. Asperitas.
Formerly known as Undulatus asperatus. Suggested translation: roughness. The founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society proposed it as a separate classification in 2009.
Isn't Wikipedia great?
Thanks Lloyd!
Quoted from TractorDoc:Wild Weather here lately. Any Pinheads know what type of cloud formations these are?
Was putting equipment away for the evening and this front rolled in.
Scary and ominous would be my description of those cloud formations.

Marron? or has that been left behind from that storm last week.
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Marron?
Marron, Yes....... Boof-Ed
for the many that don't know what a Marron is...
Marron are relatively large crayfish: they can grow to 38.5 cm (15") from head to tail, and weigh up to 2.2 kg.(4.8 lb) A marron can be identified by:
two small spines on its telson
six spines on its rostrum
five keels (ridges) on its head, three of which are very obvious
a long abdomen that is not tucked under its body.
Quoted from Chrisbee:boof-ed you should drop by next Marron season for a bit of Old Time Pinball, Marroning and a bit of RGB LED Cubing, bring your boy too....
Sounds like a plan.
Quoted from rotordave:Another view out my window ...
I’m teaching Danni to drive. So I’ve got her out mowing the lawns. She learns to use machinery - my lawns get mowed.
Win win winnnnn!!

Ha. Damn. No zero turn or a real tractor with a mowing deck on the back? All I remember when I pulled up a few years back is that the grass is just so green. I've never seen grass that color of green before.

Little John Deere does the job ok. And anyone can drive it easily - hydrostatic gearbox and small size make it pretty idiot proof. We all battle it out about who’s going to do the lawns, we all enjoy doing it.
Yep, the grass is always greener ... Probably because it rains so much. The cows love it ... no sheds or grains needed for our cows, grass all the way!

Crawfish in the US south are fresh water. During my lifetime they have become quite expensive and are cultivated. Do you eat the marron? Where does it grow and is it cultivated? How do you preparet hem?

Stanley Park, North Shore mountains, with the Lions on the right. Quite the view.

Marron are freshwater too. They are expensive to buy and yes they are grown in farms. Small one from $15 AUD to $50 AUD.
To eat, I boil or steam then make sandwiches out of them. They grill and BBQ good too.
Marron are only found in the South-West corner of Western Australia.
Guess I'm off topic now......
