A great deal ($45) landed me some hard work this morning. Layed and leveled 13 paving stones and did some grading from the path to the flower bed Still have to put grass seed down and a little more grading.

Nice rainwater catch system. I used to have something similar at a previous home.

You can keep the leaves and bird shit out with a first flush diverter too if you want to drink it. Easy to make.

Thanks. We used to have just a barrel under each corner but it would just overflow all around the foundation. When I built the bed I had to move the gate so figured I'd run it over to the other side to fill multiple barrels. Our yard is full of plants and flowers so any free water is good water.

Me and a buddy were on our way home from Spooky Pinball yesterday when we got a flat tire.

We had no issues pulling into a Kwik Trip for gas. Leaving the Kwik Trip, we heard this click click click noice. Turned out being about a one foot long piece of threaded rod about the diameter of rebar. No idea where it came from or how the hell it punctured the tire.

Thankfully, the Walmart Tire Center was only a half mile away. Joseph was a great guy and super helpful. Said he had never seen anything quite like it.

Spent my entire week off working in the yard.
Note to self, not to be a plumber in my next life.
Im not very good at it and digging dirt is no fun.

Too tired at the end of the day to finish playfield post protection on my GnR
Owned for 2 months and still no game play

At least the mrs is happy with new vegetable garden. Off to work again now for another week. Maybe some pinball next break

I actually liked plumbing. The only thing I hated was freezing my ass off in the winter.

dirkdiggler I’m concerned about the pipe going straight towards your newly layer pavers. Won’t the rainwater undermine them?

Things are looking pretty good on the pinball front. All the EMs made it upstairs and RCT and Jolly Ride are still above water. Hopefully Cyclone and Hurricane are okay too. Unfortunately Disco Fever got hit but I don't think too bad. I don't want to go down there yet. Last thing I want to do is create waves!

But yes, I will be heartbroken if they're ruined.

Water is on the way down. Hopefully drained later in the day.

This time lapse was taken from the balcony of my parents house, the bay has a 40ft tidal flow which is the second highest in the world.

My old man has won numerous awards over the years for saving people (mostly tourists) in his kayak from the incoming tide.

To put it in perspective the tower in the top right of the picture is 1.25 miles from the shore.

My view from the bombardiers seat of the Sentimental Journey B-17 20 years ago today.

There’s nothing like the squeaking brakes, the wisps of fog on the prop tips and the bounce of the plane as it makes the turn onto the runway. It pauses as the vintage radial engines wind up to an unforgettable roar, and you’re off!

Little did we know how things would change 2 days later.
