My wife and i spent an enjoyable couple of weekends together building this canoe which i then spent years pushing down some rivers that looked very much like the one in your photos.
    [quoted image]

If you don't know already you wouldn't believe. Same reason it's so brilliant to crossing an ocean bar and going to sea in small boats. You get to see and touch things others only see through a screen with David Attenborough explaining it to them. I'll never forget the sight of my homebody wife leaning over the tunnel of my little catamaran touching dolphins as the cavorted under the boat at speed and leaped up 3' in front of us.
Seen manta rays, sea snakes, huge sunfish, caught marlin and sharks etc. There's not a better day spent than a good day on the water.
    [quoted image]

Sorry for pulling your leg dude. And I totally agree with your every word!

One of the first trillium of the season in the tree wells. Still a couple feet of snow around in the shady areas.

My wife likes feeding the birds and squirrels in our backyard.
She has named this one Elvis for some reason.
Kinda looks like a skunk squirreler, with its very unique white markings.

He has a sibling, with similar white markings but not as pronounced or as many over the entire body.

10,000 lbs of dock moved today - tractor trailer couldn’t make the turn for our road so we had to unload and shuttle - tired

Did some spring cleaning today. I was surprised to see some items sitting in my window bays that face north had quite a bit of sun damage so I got some UV cling stuff attached today. I mean I’d figure a little but with no direct sunlight, I better get protected since I have pins in the same room.

Figured I’d class things up with BoP topper from MustangPaul in my window . Hope the family next door appreciates it at night as much as I do.

I deliberately turn the brightness down to give it that silhouette effect.

I was walking along one of the fields today and saw this.

    KIMG0984 (resized).JPGKIMG0984 (resized).JPG

Its been awhile since I've found any decent pieces of flint. . . then again I'm usually too busy to go looking.

The bottom portion is broken, but its little easier to see the arrow point likeness after giving it a quick wash in the creek.

How about a pic in a window? While I was mowing today a swarm of honey bees went in the storage building. Gonna let them settle a bit. Then catch them and put them in a hive.

Had a nice evening on the back deck with pinballplusMN and DavidLee who gets credit for this picture.

I believe that’s rain that never made it to the ground due to the dry weather or something….they were mentioning this on the 10:00 news just now.

    I always heard it as:

Red skies at night, sailors’ delight.
Red skies at morn, sailors be warned.

Sailors and Shepherds should be delighted as this was taken this evening.

We get good snakes and bad snakes in our yard and garden, but at least both kinds eat the rodents. The 4-foot "good" gopher snake ate a rat; the young 18 inch rattlesnake ate a vole. Sometimes when we open the sliding door, a bird flying around near our feeder makes a wrong turn. I returned this one to the feeder. Since it's spring, we get robins, too.

My favorite restaurant literally on the beach in Doheny opened after being closed in the beginning of the year. A big company won the lease from the state to run it and never opened. The old lessee runs concession again to the delight of many locals. Live reggae band tonight. Bad news was I found out they announced Pearl Jam was the closing act of the 3 day festival here. Tickets sold out immediately. I looked less than 24 hours after it was announced and even the 3 day ultimate VIP tickets were sold out at $7,225. That's face value from the festival, not a scalper.

    Technically ....
Shouldn't he be pulling it , to call it "followed '

Funny thing is it looks like he is walking through a public park or something

    Quoted from golfingdad1:

Yes. But his wife may fall for it.

    Quoted from golfingdad1:

That is plan B. He wants a dog so bad he takes his pin for a walk in hopes his wife will relent and let him get a dog.

    LTG : )

    #1743 2 years ago

Don't need to carry doggie bags with a pin, though....

    #1744 2 years ago
    Quoted from littlecammi:

I went through it in a way. There is a part of my back yard that TECHNICALLY the city is responsible for mowing but they do a super crappy half a** job at mowing it so I have somewhat adopted mowing it. However it does have sprinkler heads tied to my system so at some point someone thought it was theirs.

My buddy Dave does graphical work for a living so he can get the proper vantage point. Immediately to the left of the picture is a whole line of houses and my house and neighbors is behind Dave.

Going down my stairs has two 90° turns which are tight and my fenced in hill is kind of crooked….so it’s actually easier to cart the machine to the end of my driveway, go around my neighbors and onto the public walking trail.

Actually JohnTTwo used to live a few houses away from me and he recently told me I can get a permit from the city to drive on the sidewalk. That’d be awesome.

Amazing how big some of them are. I've seen jack rabbits up in northern Minnesota that were amazing. With their ears straight up they are tall looking too.
