Jealous of you guys with the White Christmas. Barely missed it last year, no where in sight this year. Still, its a balmy 15°F/-9.4°C, so got that going on .... At least the sun is shining and its not as windy today as it has been

Not right out the window, but enjoying a short walk with the wife, kids and dog. Lake should be cleared and ready for skating shortly and as I haven’t been playing hockey (covid restrictions) I’m itching to get out.

Don. When we lived in Newport, we woke up one winter morning to find that all of our burning bushes were ground down to nubs. At first we thought that the township had come out and cut them out because they were blocking the view of the meter reader. Upon further review, I discovered deer pellets on the ground everywhere. Those damn deer ate about 10 fully grown, leafless burning bushes.

Our neighborhood deer family, came for a visit to the backyard again today
Mom and her two older fawns.
Surprized they still find their way back here despite all the new home construction
that took over the 3 acres behind me house.

Taken with my phone the other night. I may not look like it, but it was night time.

Looks like the neighbor's house is on fire but it's just Christmas decorations.

A pretty clear day here at the beach. We finally got some rain the day before picture was taken. Catalina is in the far background 26 miles away.

These gecko's are common round here and there's a dozen or more living round my shed, don't see them much but the tiny buggers chirp really loudly.

Sometimes they are dark like this one, but sometimes you can see right through them.

    gek1 (resized).jpg

I get to share my shower with them sometimes, but more often it's green tree frogs. Luckily you only hear the frogs when it rains.

    #1394 1 year ago

I love geckos. I think most ppl from around Scandinavia and many parts of europe do, because we find them very cute and exotic. With their calling and what not.

    #1395 1 year ago

Yeah I have a big gecko tattooed all down my right forearm in tribute to these guys.
