Quoted from Waderade812:Marty out on a unlucky fishing trip. Not a bite
Is that the White Water River? Caught many, many bass on that river and the creek as well.

No this is a 27 acre lake I live on. It was built as a depression project during the thirties. Then sold off to a small group. I grew up fishing here and became a member about six years ago. Good population of bass and crappie.
All round town here too. Bit bigger than those ones mostly. Kids have to chase em off the footy oval this time of year before they can play.
Quoted from RWH:When's the last time you saw one of these out your window.

I put most of my quarters in the asteroids and missile command.
Quoted from yzfguy:Are there fish in there??
I used to have fish in it but the neighborhood kids fed them to much and would screw my filtration up so I gave them to my brother who has a real pond at his home. Later I put bluegills in it to use for bait and would let my 2yr old grandson at that time fish for them. He loved catching them and now at 16 he's my steady fishing partner.

My grandmother lived in Hamilton an area known as five points. Hustled a lot of pool back then at the 8ball pool hall down the road from grandmas.
Quoted from yzfguy:Blew that lounge chair right off the deck?
Haha no. It's placed there temporarily to keep the dogs off lawn. We just seeded the grass two days ago. Same with the flowers, they were just potted two days ago.
I guess we started too early? Lol
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:If you are hungry, don't wait til night-time to find something to eat. Raccoon along the edge of Lake Chicot mid-day. Central Louisiana.

Raccoons like to wash their food. This is a little known fact. (AKA Garbage Can Pandas).
Quoted from Waderade812:My bass fishing skateboard. 24 volt trolling motor. With on board battery charger. Definitely have to be balanced to fish off this thing. Especially if you put it on the highest speed.
[quoted image]
Battery charger? Do you use a really long extension cord?
I was headed off to work and noticed something looked different in the boxwood shrub. Can you see it? (Hint: Its brown).
A closer look found a garter snake taking a nap.
When I returned home several hours later it had emerged to warm itself in the sun.
"Tasting" the air with its tongue!
Quoted from yzfguy:Super tiny box turtle on my lawn
Do you have blackberry bushes or strawberry near by? Growing up my brother and I would hunt them in the blackberry patches when they were in season.
Quoted from Kkuoppamaki:Played some golf today, had to put my beer down for a moment to enjoy the view (and tee off)
All that place needs is a fisherman and oh, your beer.
Quoted from RWH:Do you have blackberry bushes or strawberry near by? Growing up my brother and I would hunt them in the blackberry patches when they were in season.
Neither, and I had to Google the kind of turtle. We have mostly painted turtles .
Quoted from yfz450:Couple of young bears looking for some early morning bird seed. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
We had a large black bear come wondering by Saturday.
Quoted from TractorDoc:Storm rolled thru yesterday.
There was some lightning.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Then some sun rays broke thru.
[quoted image]
Then a bit of a rainbow.
[quoted image]
Finally a bit of lightning and bit of rainbow together!

Dayumm
That's gorgeous!
Here's a video that shows the view from where I'm usually sitting at the computer when I'm on Pinside, my "music room" on the 3rd floor of our old Bank building. There is a triple-track CSX railroad line that provides lots of entertainment. This line has been running through Piedmont, WV since 1851 (when it was the B&O). We're at the bottom of a famous section of railroad called the "17-Mile Grade" between Altamont, Maryland and Piedmont, West Virginia. We see every kind of Maintenance-of-Way equipment, strings of 10-15 locomotives being moved back and forth, and lots of hi-rail vehicles (pickup trucks with retractable rail wheels). This video is from about 3 years ago when they were doing major track work in both directions from here. All the equpment has been loaded up on railcars and is being moved to another site:
