    Quoted from aFineMoose:

I’ve been playing a lot of piano lately. I was gonna buy a used Yamaha, but after trying a Baldwin at a store I quickly decided that was the way to go. I didn’t have $4000, so I found a good looking one on FB Marketplace for $625, and talked them down to $500. With the move, a tuning, some repair work, and then a second tuning because, “It’s never been serviced,” according to my tuner, I paid $1350. Plays and sounds great!

The only thing I would have done differently is I would have watched a couple of Youtube Videos and tried to tune it myself, poorly I'm sure. Congratulations!

We had quite the gathering of deer in our yard a couple mornings ago.P1040480 (resized).JPGP1040480 (resized).JPG

This unexpected visitor turned out to be a turkey vulture. P1040469 (resized).JPGP1040469 (resized).JPG

We have a good red snapper fishery here in coastal Virginia, too! I understand the confusion. We also have the common snapping turtle shown above, and the more fearsome alligator snapping turtle as well.

They’ll take most of your hand off if you aren’t careful!

On a particularly rainy weekend a year or two ago, I had one come up the bank from the tidal estuary out back. It was tucked away on the driveway near my car. They are scary bastards, and aggressive if provoked. (I didn’t get picks, sorry.)

What would you guess, 10-12” shell length? It’s an old one for sure.

About 17" I figure since he was similar size to 3 dock planks. He is large on average but there are a few bigger ones out there. He hung around all day, but was gone this morning. They do like like to bury themselves in the mud. I think I had to pull a duck away from one last year. Something under the mud had it by the beak.

Not very exciting but I do this every Friday!

There's just no 'quit' in these guys. That's a very thorny bush beneath the feeder. I still don't know how he got up there without impaling himself! A week later, we caught a raccoon doing the same thing. The feeder had to go. The varmints don't seem as interested in the hummingbird feeder we have there now.

Not technically a window since the whole door is removed but I thought it would be a cool shot just hanging out with our sister ship.

I feel your pain. The bastards (trash pandas) destroyed my bird feeder and tilted the hummingbird feeder to drink the nectar. I put out the trap and caught three raccoons over three nights. Now it’s back to the squirrels raiding the bird seed.

Yup, much worse today. Just took a walk through the typically popular local park. Only saw 1 other person outside. Felt like the glory days of covid. Hopefully my N95 mask works! I hear some schools might be closed tomorrow. Guess they shouldn't have given back those snow days so soon.

I don't think he used to be upfront about it, but nowadays it doesn't seem to be a secret that he's MapleSyrup.

    Quoted from MapleSyrup:

Played with Foos several times in the mid-nineties. They were always a blast to be around. Amazing Live. Great songs, and the best energy. Dave came out of one of the darkest situations possible as a force for Rock and Roll good. They are one of the best live bands on the planet. Sense of humour, sense of adventure. They Always take the music seriously, but never themselves. Perfect.
Jack is perhaps the best Ambassador that pinball has ever had. He’s amazing at the game, he’s funny, he’s passionate. He’s built a community through his streaming that is loyal, engaged, and excited.
Game looks INCREDIBLE. So excited for Jack and the team. Can’t wait to get mine. This will be travelling with me to a city near you this summer!

I think that is part of the traveling crate for the machine,
like they use for other equipment for their road show, for encasing EQ like amplifiers, drum kits or speakers etc.
It looks like just the bottom of the case under the legs
and there is probably 4 sides and a top piece that attach and lock into place
to fully encase the machine, also guess there may be some foam padding involved.

To me, It looks like the legs are halved and the machine sits on some kind of modified platform ( probably the bottom half of a road case like you mention. . I could be wrong but that's what I get from the pic.

Yeah, we could really use some (alot!) rain though. At the highest risk for forest fire here aswell.. And the farmers produce needs water.

Ok, here we go. Yes, fireflies do live outside, unless you have active mosquito control, then most of them are dead.
