Hello All - just shamelessly self-promoting my latest article on PBN. I think the collectors and historians will like this one.

@drbond, one that will be there is Doug Watson. PPM is distributing a press release because his art will be on display at PPM starting the week of the exposition. He will have a booth and seminar at PPE. The offical opening reception will be the following week at PPM. Here is a short blurb from the press release. I'll post the full release later this evening.

"THE PINBALL ART OF DOUG WATSON

Doug Watson is an artist who lived in interesting times. During his years at Advertising Posters, the main suppliers of pinball art until their demise, he brought some of the most original fantasy art to grace a backglass. Following his arrival at Bally in 1982 and later at Williams in 1985 he continued this tradition in oil paintings. Presented for the first time anywhere, are the original paintings for machines made from 1983 thru 1996. Come and meet Doug in person at the opening reception on Friday October 8th.

    Opening Reception: Friday, October 8th, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight"

Yeah and he did Barrocora and AFM. I can't wait to see the oil paintings.

Also, for you Stern fans, there is a very good chance there will be an Avatar for play/sale at PPE.

Here's the full Press Release from the Pacific Pinball Museum for the Doug Watson art exhibit.

Previously they've had very impressive displays.

Here's a few more pics of another artist. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name. Shane something. The big full color multi-table pinball - there is discussion of trying to build that thing!

Shane Pickerill - that's the name of the second artist.

What I heard was that Marco Spec will bring an Avatar for play/sale, just like they did at CAX.

If you can swing it, the time to go to PPE for all the rare or sought after games is Friday. I got to play several rounds on the Metallica pinball last year that way.
