Yes, to my very big surprize my Oct. 2nd 2012 Tron has a 3D trans and a amber dmd. I like the 3D trans better but the even bigger surprise for me was the dmd. To me the red dmd just does't match the game. My luck is either extremely good or extremely bad normally.

It is a great car and lots of very cool mods are available for it.

Mine was manufactured the same day. I got ripped. 
Mine is 2D and red LED display (that needs to be replaced).

They are taking care of me. I just hate the wait. I should have parts here by the week's end. This is my 3rd NIB Stern and it is frustrating not getting to play it. The TSPP has been great since day one. AC/DC only had a few minor LED issues (plus LEDs keep dying, but not sure who's to blame on that). If this had been my first NIB experience, I'd probably be less likely to go for another, but over the years, I've learned #&*@ happens and parts fail. Tron is worth it. It is a great game.

treborlicec...you have my sympathy as well brother. Our serial numbers are real close but sounds like the pins reached us in much different condition. Good on you for keeping a great attitude about the situation. Tron is my first nib and it would of really bummed me out on the whole experience. Get it fixed and get to portal. Word.

Does anyone remember how many Trons Stern is producing in this run? I remember reading it somewhere before but I can't remember the number or where I read it.
Just going from what I was told when I placed my order - Initial run was 100 - sold out so fast they did another run at 100 - then the rumor was that it was cut back. However, I am still in the November run so the cut back could be just rumor.

No dice on the new I/O board. Still have all my solenoids dead. New ballast did fix my backbox light, but I'll need to get a new bulb cuz it killed the old one. Now to see what Chas wants to try next.

...and no, I didn't buy it for flipping purposes with any luck... it's for keeping. There is a chance it will be set up directly after coming out of the box at the MGC this year running a TOPS Tournament.
