I am not a fan of the colored plastic protectors, personally. I can achieve the colors i am looking for with lights. I also kinda like the look-though pop bumpers that come on the machine stock.

Looks a bit overkill to me. I usually love all of Pinbits stuff, but the Zen plastic looks very "aftermarket" and I'm not sure I get the big orange plastic over the 3-bank...that combined with the blue Recognizer base totally blocks the player view of the lit spinning disc. I don't really get the blue bumper caps either...they cover up the artwork. I've got the white frosted CT LEDs in my pops and they look really cool pretty much as-is.

Agreed.
I added the Tron colored plastic protector set available from Curly "Little House of Pinball". His are just enough to add some color to the existing plastics, which shine well with colored LED's. While I think the pinbits are a bit much.
Pop Bumper "DEVO" Caps....WHIP IT...WHIP IT GOOD!
Nah I'll pass....I like to see GEM

Yeah mine came w/ the Curly ones installed...they glow all neon-style with UV/Blacklight LEDs. Do Pinbits do that? If so, I might just want the Pinbits sling plastics...I'd rather have the yellow/orange color on the left sling vs. Curly's yellow/green color.

Hey BR, I have a set of the Pinbits partially assembled pop bumper dress kit that I never installed if you want them. I will shoot you a PM.

Have them installed and I disagree on the Zen plastic. Lots of folks don't even know about Zen, but if they see the plastic, they ask. It is my favorite in the lot.

Totally disagree but to each his own I guess. The orange doesn't show up as well in the video but I think it perfectly fits the games color scheme. Pop bumpers look so much better than the flat plastic with a crooked LED light sticking out of it. Don't really care that the artwork gets covered up as you couldn't see it much anyway.

Ok, Im flying high right now because mine will arrive tomorrow. The company didnt have a lift truck avail. and asked me if I could help with unloading it. What do you all think my answer was??
Quoted from docquest:i think traditional bumper caps look better in there instead of the stock caps.
Those look nice. They don't look like Stern caps though.
They are williams. Got them here: http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=2455
Quoted from wescor97:Herg,
Great observation. I have 15 pins jammed into space for 14. The second i'm not passive, I have to unload something I want to keep. It sucks to be out of real estate. Oh, and I bet he will read the full balance of this thread.
Are you trying to say I have no life?... Ok you were right Ive been reading this whole thread. I am a little behind in my pinside today though.

I'd love to see the rest of your PF, those toy mods look pretty awesome
I received a call from Playdium today that they just received their Trons and will be shipping them out shortly. Should have mine in about a week.
Just checked the tracking info on mine and read the 3 sweetest words in the English language:
"Out For Delivery"
You guys are killing me! Still no indication that my payment has even been received. I left a message earlier, but I guess I'll try again after work.
Quoted from drbond:Everyboooooooooooooooody!!!
That's a bald-faced lie if I've ever seen one. I know I won't be getting a NIB Tron...
Quoted from Frax:Okay, someone's gotta hook me up with one of these new translites... JJ?
Ok Ok I will try and see if they are avail yet. I REALLY like that new translight. Does it look as good in person as it does lit up in the pictures?
646 posts about a year old game, seems that this Tron is something to talk about. I have mine on the way, can't wait to see next to my XM to see which I prefer; the too cluttered or too sparse playfield.
I really like the looks of the new translight, seems more sinister with that mask guy (ha, I don't know who that is, I have not seen the movie yet).
jealousy running strong in me right now, will do my best to fight it
congrats
It is funny, but normally the translites with huge faces look like crap. This one looks great!

Thats CLU in the front center..
I love the new translight too and the red display gives it a great look.

is the movie any good?
Yep, the 'copy' or (C)odified (L)ikeness (U)tility.....etc..
I saw it in IMAX3d when it came out and my wife and I really enjoyed it. I think you would too on the right tv and home theatre system. It looks beautiful.
