What would I improve?! I havnt a clue! But I do know that out of the 4 pins that I've owned non of them have the multiple dimples that new Sterns seem to have. What do you make of that? Huh?!! Please tell me why Stern pins are prone to this... You seem to know the answer for calling me out. I would really like to know.

Anyway, I hope you get the October delivery.

They simply got enough dimples to make it look like they aren't dimpled.

My VND had dimples when I got it. You can't really tell now. I've played the living heck out of it. It even has plastic coated balls that you'd expect would protect the playfield better... they don't.

I had a TZ that was so low mileage, and it had dimpling *really bad*. I didn't like the game, so I barely played it, and I have no idea if it has been played enough since I sold it to make the dimpling blend together or not.

I replaced my DM playfield with a clearcoated one that had cured for more than a year. It got dimples, but it has now been played so much you can barely find them any more.

New Sterns get dimples because they are new. My IM has them, because I need to play it another 5000 or so times to make them all blend in perfectly. You have a heavy steel ball that is flying around a game - it is going to break stuff and damage stuff just by the nature of the game.

Dimples are nothing new, it's just that people are more concerned about anything happening to their games today then they were when they opened them up and stuck them on route 20 years ago.

I was the 2nd to Call and Lock in a Pin for the October delivery .. I sent a Paid-n-Full check By Priority Mail the Next day .. I have a Paid n Full Invoice . I should Know by Sat- or Sunday .

I find it hard to believe that all this pissed-ness is just over getting first shipment vs. second. It's not like they told you that you're not getting a game at all, yeah?

It was your choice to spend 700$ on mods for a game you don't have yet, that's got nothing to do with JJ, GAP, Trent, or anyone else. Tron is perfectly enjoyable without ANY mods, and short of plastic protectors and the cliffy, none of them affect actual gameplay in any way. I ordered an arcade mod because I figured it was the last run and I know I'll get a Tron someday, but yeesh man.... don't hold stuff like THAT against the distros...that was your choice. If you're still getting your game, they'll still get used.

BR, now you've managed to get me nervous as well. Of course, your situation is a little different since they've had payment in full the whole time. My check for the balance hasn't been cashed yet.

Reread BR's post. It's not about 1st or 2nd delivery, it's about a confirmed delivery vs not getting one at all. He should be pissed if the distro doesn' come through, especially after he took his money.

I have a pretty good guess who his distro is and i can say if it is i am not surprised at all.

I got a call from the the Dist- that I purchased Tron thru this morning Sat- Oct 5th , His Order was Cut from 10 to 5 by Stern for some Un-known reason , but he said since I called and got Tron # 2 on his Order and sent the Full Payment in 2 day's Flat , I should have my Tron this week ... True, but with WOZ, the buyers knew they would be waiting for the machine to be designed and built. It may be taking longer than expected, but it's not the same thing as a distributor taking pre-orders, then bumping a paying buyer to a later delivery. I'm hoping it's just a misunderstanding.

Congrats to all those getting a Tron off this latest run. Love Tron! Gets lots of play among the young college guys who visit at my house. Enjoy your games!

Very odd to hear Stern is cutting the orders for distributors . . . I wonder if that means they are only doing one extra run of Tron and not the run of two as was reported here . . . perhaps this means there will be another Stern pin made in 2012 after all.

Highly doubtful. I've never seen them announce a run and distributors take cash for the orders then Stern not follow through. They will make enough to cover orders and do the two runs if necessary to cover it. Otherwise people will stop paying in advance for their pins and that is not what Stern or distributors want at all.

Son's friends! Gutter thinkers..... one of 'em house sits for me when traveling for business and he hosts pin parties. LOTR and Tron are the two most popular games.

I purchased a unit in the second run and have not heard a word that it got canceled.

Mine's been 4hrs away for the last 2 days and it is driving me nuts!

This is really my thoughts as well. No way distributers are getting cut on their orders of this Tron run(s). Tell you what though, Tron is awesome. I hope Stern makes a ton more to get as many into the hands of collectors as possible. It's good for pinball for more trons to be out there.

It could be because of the camera (iPhone 4S)

Playfield is mostly the same. Orange light cycle. Metal cabinet leg protectors pre-installed and included from Stern on my particular machine. High resolution decals look really good.

I'm a little worried because I haven't gotten charged for the rest of my payment yet. However, I'm hoping that this is because it's getting sent from Playdium in Canada and we're still on our long thanksgiving weekend here.

I'd be curious if they added any LEDS to new stock Tron PRO. The current models had LEDs in the bumpers only but I know GS said the company was moving to LEDs in the PRO models too. Maybe not yet...

I ordered from Playdium as well, they took my 2k down payment back in September. I emailed Jerry, the guy I am dealing with, he said once their truck arrives they will call or email people then. You will pay the rest in person, if you're picking it up that is.

I am super excited, first NIB.

Yeah, they took a downpayment from me as well (but it was only 1k) but seeing as how I'm all the way in Halifax, Nova Scotia, local pickup is kind of out of the question. Here's hoping that their truck arrives tomorrow and we have our NIBs shortly thereafter. First one for me too (and first ever pinball machine for that matter!). Can't wait.

Apparently, no new LEDs. Still LEDs in the pop bumpers. Regular bullbs everywhere else.

For those that are getting this game, PBL relisted their shaker motors for $150.
