Last summer one of my four daughters rented a house and told me the owners had left a pinball machine in the basement. I asked her to make an inquiry. After repeated hints I was told they were not responding, they had looked it up on the web, it was rare and went for $2200 on the internet, they wanted $1200 . Told my daughter that I was not interested no matter what the title as i am a $300 fixer guy.
Got a schematic Christmas morn.

The legs even have this silvery coating I am told is chrome! No flaking or rust - who knew!
Minimal mouse poop - otherwise cleaner then any machine I have picked up.
Glass 9+ if not 10
Cab 8 - traditional yellowing of whites and dings
Playfield 8+ had some crust but wiped clean with solid paint, a little arch wear and at top lanes.
Vac'ed, wiped it down with naphtha, new ball and flipper rubber and soon will start a thread to get the bugs out. I am so psyched!
Coin mech works but only with old quarters. And there was even a quarter in the coin box. This one is a beauty.
Four wonderful daughters chipped in $$ to make this happen - including the transport: carrying out the basement and 250' through a foot of snow. Thank you girls. I think they get me and pinball.
. . . and I am told my daughter showed them the Boston Pinball Pricelist and explained that the high end was for collector perfect while the low end was like this find - non-op. She got a price that would make the best flippers envious!
