Recently I´m having the problem that my car doesn't register hits reliably anymore. Anybody else seen that issue. Are only the two targets behind the car responsible for detecting car hits? Or is there anything else involved?

who else of the TBL owners had problems with breaking plastics so far? On my machine (#18) the slingshots broke pretty early and yesterday the plastic under the right wireform broke. I have to say that the plastics on TBL do not live up to the quality of the rest of the machine. The material they´re using is much too brittle imho.

Thankfully I still have a complete plastic set here which I got from Barry because of the problems.

Hi Rensh ,
I´m currently doing the MPF conversion to the new stepper motor and I have a question on how the two parking switches should work.
Is it ok, that when the garage door is open one of the 2 switches stays closed? Or do both need to be open to detect car hits?
Cheers
Herb

Quoted from TomDK:

I am not Rens .. but
One of the switches must be closed that the pins know that the "garage door" is open. The other must be open AND detect hits.
I was going mad for this adjustment and waiting for new targets. So far I placed a little piece of foam on the right target, so this is closed when the car is to see. But the other switch will not detect all hits or got stuck and also does not register hits.

yes, I know, it can be a tricky adjustment, thankfully with the stepper motor now under the MPF it´s a lot easier to test that on the MPF removed from the game. With the main playfield upright you can set it on top of the bowling alley, connect all wires and test until it works perfectly.
