I debated whether this was a story, forum post, All Pinball or Lounge post... but here we go!
Recently I took an illustration and developed it out into an interactive bit of wall-art... combining laser cut wood, LEDs, and colored acrylic bits into a dimensional sculpture. It initially was part of the GOT WOOD? art show at Kettle Art Gallery in Deep Ellum (the best artsy neighborhood of Dallas). I've since sold a handful of made-to-order pieces to individuals on instagram and facebook, who are likely members here on Pinside as well.
Personally, I suppose I enjoy this piece so much because it combines the interests in pinball, illustration, lasercutting, dimensionality, and interactivity all in one.
Happy to share it now with the audience who would appreciate it most!
Youtube is the best way to see it for detail and lighting effect, and to see my hand for scale...
