Hey Cosmo, I'm walking in your footsteps. After Pinbot, my next project is Fish Tales. Following! Keep us posted and keep it up buddy.

Quoted from cosmokramer:

after countless hours of labor I will have a game worth about 2600.00

If you get all the missing parts, you can always come here and sell it for 5000$ CAD in Canada.

Christmas before Christmas!

What kind of love did your Kruzman playfield got? How is it? Is it an original restored or a CPR + kruz treatment ?

#19 6 years ago

Nice.

Funny, I have a CPR playfield waiting for my Fish Tales and wonder what to do with my original once I'm done swapping. Either I sell it as is, try and restore the best I can then sell it, or use it as a piece of art on the wall... Except some somewhat nasty planking, it's actually in a pretty decent shape, not much insert damage.

Good progress! I love how it's sitting against the wall

Please, if you do powder coat, do black. Yes all others colors looks out of place sorry. Either stainless steel or black.

Why order your decals from retro refurb as opposed to PPS? What technique do you intend to use, dry or wet?

Yes your FT is practically non faded which is super rare. This is mine, slightly different.

About PPS support, I always dealt directly with Sara and was super happy with the communications. She was very helpful accommodating me with my needs and cut me some great deals. No complaint at all.

The Fish Tales and White Water decals she sent me are superb.

#62 6 years ago

Wow, Is that all evaporust or some elbow grease as well?

#66 6 years ago

I much prefer Stainless than Chrome for this title. Chrome can easily be overwhelming imho.

#79 6 years ago

Looking good. Did you flame polished the boat ramps?

#91 6 years ago

Wow, doing these corner cuts looks like hell. Keep it up man. I admire your dedication.

#100 6 years ago

Nice comparisons, thanks. Makes me want to take out my BAA's and verify these colors.

Good job man!

Quoted from screaminr:

Fish tales is the best pinball ever made.

That's debatable but it's sure a pretty art and sound package

#138 6 years ago

Man that's dedication!

What are your plan for the rails? From the pictures they seemed to have a few dings, good enough to powerder coat?

#145 6 years ago

Nice! How much do they run for in the US?

I hear so much praise about the color DMD but can't wrap my head around the cost. Especially if the current DMD is fine.

Nonetheless, well done!

Must feel good applying the decals, nice work man!

3D or regular the translite?

#283 6 years ago

Looks very nice indeed! Mine is in good shape for kinda blend when lit. I got a replacement for my WhiteWater from PPS and its bright and contrasty.

#295 6 years ago

Nice job the the cab and decals. The translite looks great!

It does indeed! I remember at the begining of the project the speculation about going for black or stainless. Very much looking forward seeing it!
