Restorations are kind of a labor of love, I'm into my terminator probably around 5k ( if I include getting scammed for 2700) bucks I love the process so to me it's worth and I don't have spect to make money if and when I sell mine. Can't wait to see the process on this thread!
Quoted from cosmokramer:Making progress but I messed up and put the boat ramp decal on before I installed the boat on the playfield...I didn't even think about needing to line it up until it was too late...
These things happen, on my T2 I cracked the playfield... after about a week, you will get over it. it will play every bit as good as one with a straight decal, it just adds character. Looking great!
Hey cosmokramer something just occurred to me u may be able to (very carefully) use a heat gun to peel off and re apply that ramp decal
Quoted from cosmokramer:Thank you, but this is at my dads place...all my shop stuff is is storage as I am moving in a few months so I make do at his place for now. The good news when I get my stuff set up in my new shop I will have over 1,000 square feet for just pinball restoration, including a small spray booth, I cant wait...
Wow!!! That is awesome
Sorry to read this about your back @cosmokramer. I hope u feel better soon, I have had injections in my back and struggled with pain for a long time so I empathize with your discomfort
Wow! this is looking so awesome!! And this game is one of my fav's I love the color, callouts and music, just a fun game
Love the attention to detail cosmokramer I’m going to have to steal ur idea and paint and polish my power supply also nice work
Certain games, a color dmd Totally changes the experience and almost always severely enhances video modes. Indiana Jones is a good example the mode cart video mode is super tough... but with a color dmd the contrast and color make the video mode so much more enjoyable. I would say fish takes is a game that benefits for sure!
Hey cosmo are you going to offer cabinet kits? Your so good at it could be a great opportunity. Virtualpin has cabinets, but some of us can’t warrant spending that much. If it came in pieces and one could just assemble it, with some glue and a nail gun would be awesome!
Quoted from Badamack:Curious: why did you mask the bottom edge of the sides of the cabinet?
Keep me honest. Here @cosmokramer, original williams and abally cabinets the whole bottom is not painnted including the edges. I did the same treatment on my cabinet. Looking good man! You making some great progress love it!
Sadly my fish tales is still not working. I had the power driver board repaired, as I was having major reset and coil firing issues. Now next issue is none of the trough switches work. In addition to that the left pop bumper is triggering current to the drop target mini coil. It’s been a nightmare seriously losing my
Patients, but I’m keeping hope
Good point cosmokramer and it did work for the most part, you could actually play a game... sort of. So I’m not sure what th heck happened to the power driver, and the trough switches had some serious ground wiring Hackery and I have a suspicion that is the problem for both the remaining issues... could be a bad diode somewhere
Great job cosmokramer the woodwork in this project was amazing. Such a great build.
Wow 3700, is a steal imo. But California prices tend to be much higher over here. I saw one recently that was “restored” not as nice as cosmos and I think it went for around 5k... but the seller was asking 6k+
