Quoted from cosmokramer:

I am working on putting custom "pinstadium" style lighting built into the side of the cabinet so you can lift the playfield without removing them...

Sounds nice, I’d like to see a thread on that.

Finally moved into the new place, still lots to do to get my shop set up . This is the first pinball project in the new location-swapping out the rails....I always dread removing rails from a game that is not going to get new decals, its easy to damage them if youre not careful. I used green tape below the rails to protect the decals from the heat and putty knife.... I really like the look of the black better than the stainless...

The black looks Great!

The anticipation is building!

It does indeed! I remember at the begining of the project the speculation about going for black or stainless. Very much looking forward seeing it!

Quoted from davijc02:

Let me know if the cliffs solves the ball Hangup as my game does this as well

Finally put this in today and it really helped, the ball never got stuck during gameplay and if I put the ball there gently with my hand I could easy nudge it free. I recommend trying it.

I agree that the black looks much richer than the stainless, it compliments the back box better.

Very nice.

Can you post a pic of the topper fish board? Did you use an original or did you remake one...Thought I saw on another thread the guy redid the topper board. Mine is in rough shape. Thx

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Coin door done...like a dummy I didnt notice the two different tags in the push buttons, one tokens one quarters...and of course now the coin chutes looked scuffed compared to the new looking coin door, so I will probably order new buttons and chutes...just more $ right

This came out great, what brand/type of black paint and primer did you use? I need to paint mine and want to minimize any trial and error.

I used a basic rustoleum primer, then use instant drying laquer chilled in the freezer to get the texture, then paint the whole thing with satin black to get the color and finish...
