Wow - looking good!

Reel good!

I always cut away the decal under the leg protector.
And also where the adhesive strips for the side rails will come.

#54 6 years ago

Nice progress buddy

#55 6 years ago

Soulrider911... FishTales is looking sharp!

Question; did you powder coat both sides of leg plates? Reason I ask is: PC would not be a good conductor for the ground braid behind it.

Kerry

#56 6 years ago

Thanks Kerry_Richard for pointing that out I dremmeled off the pc contact points for the ground wire

g94 great point, think I should remove the legs and do that?

#57 6 years ago

Side rails and coin door on! Also took the legs off and cut the decals for the protectors

I gotta go with you on that Bryan. As long as you like it that's all that matters but just not for me.

I knew the blue would be controversial. Personally, I like it...

Yes, I think the coin door is overkill. I could have done chrome, but I wanted something different. At the end of the day, this is what I wanted and I am happy with it. But as I said, everyone will have an opinion. I welcome all feedback.

Putting kruzman playfield I talk kit to good use, predrilling... more predrilling... and maybe even more some holes where not drilled out so this kit has helped immensely.
The syringes with super glue is genius for sealing also.

Finally had a day to spend on fish tales. Work has been consuming my life lately, so thankful to just have a relaxing day working on a pin.

The new CPR boat ramp is all done! Just an FYI for those that may be doing a restore, I highly recommend keeping the old boat ramp until you are done to use as a reference as most the holes are not pre-drilled.

Blue (anodized?) Nuts are cool. What's the story there? Also where did you get the transparent blue pops?

#79 6 years ago

The anodized nuts are from chromapinball https://chromapinball.com they are great I have them on all my machines.

Yes those transparent pop bodies are pretty cool! I found here http://pinball-mods.com/oscom/game-specific-products-star-trek-the-next-generation-pop-bumper-body-p-42.html

NICE, I was debating on color for mine. I just got my order in this a.m. I went with Teal Skirts, clear base, (Bought Blue & Green) tops, couldn't decide, figured they are cheap enough to try each out, lol. I did blue lane guides

Davi I’m just meticulous no reason just need some nice touches of color to further the theme on the bottom... magic is in th details

Decided to change a few things. Originally I was going to go with blue posts with blue rubbers... but I noticed they kind of get lost if you will.

So I decided to go yellow with light blue rubbers. Except for the slings which are blue. Looks much better imo and still resembles the original colors a bit

Well deduced to change a few things. Originally I was going to do blue star posts with blue rings. After looking st that olayfield for a bit the blue seemed to get “lost.”

So went with the original yellow and light blue rings to keep it close to the original.

Only blue posts I used where under slings. I think it looks great with tha light blue plastics.

IMHO, the best post are the green ones from TMNT. They look awesome in fish tales. I use those and the light blue rubbers, looks great.

#98 6 years ago

Interesting suggestion BrewNinja I’m going to order a few and see how it looks, just concerned they are a little too “neon”.

I do have Williams green ones which are darker I could try but actually appear darker than even the blue
