Quoted from formula_520:

Curious which games are your favorites. I want to get another one soon. Godzilla is fun, and some of the mods are dope af- but I think there's something else I'm going to like better

I would definitely say to play any game before you buy, if possible. Everyone values certain aspects of a game differently. Personally, some of my more enduring favorites include Metallica, The Walking Dead, JJP Pirates of the Caribbean, Attack from Mars, and Twilight Zone.

To quote the game:

“Have you considered a different source of amusement?”

Quoted from Puffdanny:

I pray to everything holy that the op doesn't by an Ultraman.

I hope he does. In fact, he should try and find one brand new in the box. I recommend Joe at PinballStar or Chris at Kingpin Games!

Why do you hate fun? Popcorn ready.

Loving pinball- I think I'm going to buy Ultraman next wk, try something different ⚡️⚡️

Now you know he's fvcking with everybody.

Quoted from Haymaker:

Especially when Ultraman was coming out at about the same time and the art on that game absolutely kicks ass

There's an Ultraman game?! I didn't know that either!!! In my watching of ALL of the Godzilla movies, I hadn't gotten to the offshoots yet - but do have 1 of those.

Quoted from Beechwood:

Yeah, I have Halloween and while it is a bad ass pin, it kicks me in the balls on a regular.

That ball return is so sneaky, I lost so many balls to that when I first played it at Pinball Place in New Ulm, MN.

The entire interview is good, but if you just want to hear Keith and Joel talk about the Wallop shot jump to the 12:06 mark.
Enjoy,

(NOOB Alert) So to NOT SDTM on the Wallop shot on my Pro, all I have to do is get my pitch exactly right at 6.7 or so, and not tilted left-to-right everywhere? I just got a digital torpedo level. You measure on the playfield between the flippers with the glass off? Or are you measuring on the bottom of the cabinet?

Yes. It may not stop all sdtm but the game should play as intended for the most part and it may help. The wallop does tend to do that. Consider it a choice of risk v reward and there’s the brief ball save the first few times

all these people have skill issues..... THEY MUST LEARN TO NUDGE >!!! BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!

Great response 520 with evidence of people with no skill or a legit problem

Quoted from formula_520:

The plunger not working on half the machines shipped are from Stern's client's lack of skill? Hah ok, let me think on that.
There's literally dozens of posts from y'all regarding fixing the SDTM issues. Everything from adding curved diverters, removing guid rails, putting in black rubber dots, velcro, and other mods. Was so bad, the company had to release new software to give away ball saves as a fix.
You didnt even need to be more then a novice player to catch many of these issues in the first two or three games. Grandma caught a couple of them her first time up. So how did the best pin designer with an entire team of professionals whiff so badly on this one? This may be the only game in recent history that shipped hundreds of machines w a plunger that didnt wrk. Even a yr after hearing all the plunger complaints, company is still whipping them out as if people just made up the issue. Guess I'm happy they don't make motorcycles.
But on the flip side the game is fun as hell. And I love all these fixes you guys posted (Stern certainly didnt send me a "how to fix your plunger" pdf). If it wasn't for this forum I would've thought to send the machine back.
So tomorrow Ill take apart the plunger, get that sorted. And the next day Ill try all the remedies you guys posted last yr on the SDTM issues. And greatly appreciate all the other helpful tips ✨️

I think if the out of the box “issues” on a GZ were a problem for you, a Spooky is a brave choice to be sure.

Yes, but each machine has slight variances, these are hand assembled. Also, no…sometimes I just hit the shot too fast to save it.
The pics of my level are from Sept 2022. For some reason I didn’t snap a pic of the left to right or playfield angle taken just below the building, but I tweaked the left to right level at the building to lean just a tad to the left .05 or .1 degrees. This helped prevent slow rolling balls getting stuck at the top of the loop…shit did I just give everyone another reason to hate Godzilla?! My bad

After this thread, I expect Godzilla to be out of the top 10 come Monday.

I also slightly tilted to the left to improve the ball drop on destruction jackpot and start of Gz multiball, both benefit from the balls going just a little to left. Every machine is different so no hard and fast rules. Need to make adjustments until it plays to your liking.

I decided to try and hit the Wallop shot on purpose and I have to admit it was a delightfully fun ball 1. I am just an average player most days so nothing special happening here just some nudging and a few beers on a Friday night.
Enjoy,

That's not an easy shot to make (for me, at least). I'm impressed!
