What's really telling about that video is the body language of the guys playing. They look like they are trying to push the ball up the ramp every time that they hit the ball. You see them lunge forward, especially the second player.
Give me a break. Both are inexperienced, the second player especially. Hitting both flippers at the same time. Hitting them when the ball isn't even remotely close. Using those two guys as proof is about as weak as you think (want?) the flippers to be. Both look a lot like my 6 year old granddaughter when she first started to play. At this point, even she could make the ramp shot easily.
