Ah man, that was a good year, do we have to jus pick 1!?

Im torn between Dr Who and CFTBL

#7 7 years ago

Fish tales but i am a little biased since i have one. Otherwise i would struggle to decide between Addams Family and Creature

TAF hands down (no pun intended thing) cftbl doesn't even come close!

From that list I'll toss in my 2 cents here.....for me I'd rank them like this....

1.) Creature from the Black Lagoon - The theme for me makes this the best
2.) Getaway High Speed II - Best playing Pin of the bunch
3.) Fish Tales - Another really good Pin....
4.) Addams Family - I know this is #1 for the masses but I'm sorry, just not a Pat Lawlor fan! Too much stop and Go gameplay.
5.) Star Wars - One of Data East's best pins IMO...love the theme too
6.) Black Rose - a Fun pin to play the longer you play it the more you appreciate it
7.) Doctor Who - This theme does nothing for me....hated the show years ago. Might deserve a higher rank just not from me.
8.) Super Mario Bros - Love the theme and it's Mario! Simple ruleset but enjoyable, Just wish the game had a few more shots.
9.) Lethal Weapon 3 - Okay, okay, okay! It's a fast fun game!
10.) Hook - The music is cool the pinball machine is just average IMO
11.) Cue Ball Wizard - Hate the theme always thought it was boring
12. ) Super Mario Mushroom World - Played it in the 90's thought WTF is this. Saw one on here for $3k a day or two ago....LOL!

Of those 12 and I can only have 1, I choose SW on theme alone. Hopefully someone does this series some justice and preferably the original series. DW is a close second.

If anyone ever needs proof that I'm a little crazy, what are the two games from '92 to have made it into my collection...

Quoted from Chicoman:

11.) Cue Ball Wizard
12. ) Super Mario Mushroom World

And yeah, I'm serious. For me, CBW is a terrible game for the scoring, but man I can play that stupid thing all day simply trying to get the cue ball to get all the way to the top of the playfield. It's a gimmick that for me is just silly fun. SMBMW fits into small spaces really well, has the best theme (SMB3!) and for a mini-pin, is in my estimation by far the best mini-pin made - and yes, I've played both SafeCracker and Mini-Viper, and I *still* feel that.

And, since I'm crazy, if I was going to own a third game out of this bunch, it would be...

Getaway is a classic!!!

Voted other since Doctor Who isn't a poll option.
